Former Senator Rick Santorum (R-PA), appeared on a Fox News panel yesterday to discuss the three female running mates brought up by Politico.com (Palin, Fiorina, Hutchison). He deemed Palin the "most interesting one" and "the one that would play best with conservatives". He also called her a "dynamic new leader" and praised her handling of the recent birth of Trig.

Looks like there's another Palin endorsement over at Wizbang.

An interesting sidebar on the Fox News Clip is the discussion of Bob Barr right after the discussion of Palen or other women on a McCain ticket. I say interesting because, as noted by Santorum, Palin is very -- the most -- attractive to social conservatives, the same group tending toward Bob Barr.
Thus, another benefit of Palin is that she's the strongest antidote to the Barr effect; she'll attract Barr voters (and ironically attract Hillary voters at the same time).
Hello Team McCain!
Ok, so we have confirmation now that the Socon's love her, as Santorum is a part of this leadership group.
Santorum has been also very over-the-top critical of McCain.
Dear Sen. McCain: Remember, the former Senator from Pennsylvania endorses Palin, not the other way around.
