Online Victory Party!

Okay, I've had enough of sitting on pins and needles. So, I figure we should do what every other campaign does on "election night": Pat ourselves on the back, blast some loud music, and call it a "victory party".

This song seemed extremely appropriate.

Have a great night everyone. I'll get back on when I hear any news, but right now I have to catch the subway home.

This is so amazing. Way to go all of Palin's supporters on this blog. We will have a female Vice President and President of the United States, Sarah Palin.

The boys at MSNBC and the Dem party who have treated female candidates so badly can kiss my backside and my vote goodbye. McCain-Palin '08

MSNBC is so biased even their designated Republicans are Democrates

Seems like MSNBC has stopped talking about Ridge. I think that's confirmation.

And Andrea Mitchell can suck my big toe.

I heard someone mentioned Palin's name on one of my many talk shows (it was probably one of you all)
I looked up "governor of Alaska" and found this blog. I read stuff about her and just loved her.
I posted here my support for her. Then I just kept reading all of yall's posts. I got discouraged because no one was mentioning her on the radio or Fox...but you all kept it going.
I stayed up past midnight reading this and then got up at 6 (to get the kids ready for school) and then I had to read this again!
This is so exciting. I told my family about her when I first found this blog.
Ok...that is enough...I was just excited and wanted to share that with y'all!! :)
P.S. She has five kids like I do...that is AWESOME!!!

CBS News reports that a private jet from Alaska has landed in Ohio...
Drudge has her pic up with McCain's...

Great pic on Fox of Palin, First Dude, and Trig. :)

They're warming to her as they talk. I suspect this will not be an isolated phenomenon.

Romney OUT

Hutchinson OUT

AND... Palin family departs Alaska for Ohio. IT HAS TO BE PALIN BABY!!!!!!!!!!

WHEEEEEEEEEEEE!

Erin said...

Fox is mentioning a press release that she'll be in AK today. My question is when the press release came out. If it's today, stick a fork in us; we're done.

Hott Spott said...

Her office could be doing a head fake. Keep that in mind

Adam & Sherri said...

She is scheduled to be at the Alaska State Fair today for the unveiling of the Alaska State Quarter, however, that has been planned for a while and could easily be done without her.

wk4christ said...

OH YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!! I really think that Palin will be the most loved and adored vice president (and eventual president) ever!!!!!

Night Owl said...

Let's not get too confident. What about Ridge??

wk4christ said...

Re: "What about Ridge??"

Ridge would be a disaster! He's pro-choice and that will cause a conservative revolt, for sure. That would be a very foolish decision on McCain's part.

Night Owl said...

Oh I agree, I'm just saying what is his status? Is he "accounted for?"

Yes, nothing is confirmed, but...

This is an UNBELIEVEABLE feeling. No?

Chung said...

And www.johnmccain.com clearly points to a female pick. Note: the article posted today and the prominence of the Debra ad.

Night Owl said...

If Fiorina wrote the article, does that point to her?

Just playing devil's advocate...

ABC Nes is reporting that she's still in Alaska. What gives?

Mosby2 said...

Drew - I hope you are right.

I am re-working my resume right now...She needs someone with some local government experience like myself on her staff?! :-)

This is SO very exciting..I haven't been this motivated for a pick/election since I worked for Rick Santorum in 1994!! That was almost as memorable...

Erin said...

Okay, my Saragnostic father just called, the same one who mocked me on Monday, and said "it looks like your girl's got it" and went on to say he's wildly confident it's her. He also thinks it's a good pick. I tried not to gloat too much. Humility, like Obama.

Drew, that's great news that we'll know very, very soon!

Night Owl said...

That is not good...

That ABC post is NOT good news if true...I hope is jut MSM trying to temper enthusaism....

That story has me down a little bit right now...

Still holding out hope..

Hott Spott said...

The McCain campaign and the Palin administration are still trying to keep it secret so that it can still be somewhat of a surprise. They are filling in misinformation

Erin said...

Bill Kristol's story is coming out. He was waved off Palin last week. That's why he switched. He's high on her again!

I'm AMAZED at the secrecy so far. This blows my mind, and I suspect the MSM is losing their minds over no leaking.

Jill said...

Fox News on TV said she is still in Alaska.

yeah, cnn, fox, and others are saying she is still in Alaska

Man, I'm so happy that my sister just woke me up with a text message!
I was up late last night on this blog and I'm still feeling punchy, it could just be the excitement though ;-)

So Drew may be for real? I would love to get a morning update from his today!

Mountain Mama said...

Well, good morning, y'all----and HEY, DREW!--- OLE BUDDY, OLE PAL!

WOWEE! What. it. I-IS!?

I can't believe it! McCain didn't BLOW IT! WHAT A GUY!

Lord, I'm gettin' sick so early this morning, watching the drive-by's IGNORE the Palin Probability, and instead (yawn) focusing on the NAUSEATING Messiah junk from last night.... BLEAH!

WHEN DO WE HEAR AGAIN? ADAM---LET US KNOW!

Hey Erin. Yomi, Darth Gill, Wk4Christ, HottSpott and Night Owl, etc.!

Ted, Paul, Mongo Mere Pawn-------you up!>

Erin said...

Shay, Drew says we'll know soon. I'm wanting to know why the MSM are saying she's in AK. We need sources either way.

Darth Gill said...

Drudge has it up - Palin in Alaska, not Ohio

Night Owl said...

Mountain Mama...

Good morning! But there have been some less encouraging developments.

Erin said...

Mama, welcome, and flip the channel to Palin. They have NOT been ignoring her for the past hour or two.

Erin said...

Duh. Sorry, Mama. Flip to Fox.

Drew said...

I would advise you to take everything you hear this morning with a grain of salt.

This is my last update on this blog until the official announcement, as I have been requested by the McCain campaign to not leak the name of the pick.

Ryan Trabuco said...

I think it could be a bait and switch moment.

McCain's camp probably felt that Palin's name was coming out faster than they wanted it, so the Gov.'s secretary put out a statement saying that she is sill in Alaska to try and throw us off.

IOt's possible, but I'm still confident.

Erin said...

Drew, thank you for coming. You have been awesome and a great sport about all this. Take care, and come back for post pick discussion!

Adam & Sherri said...

One problem with the Story that says she is still in Alaska. The article said she was watching the fireworks from her Wasilla home. Well, im here in Alaska and the State Fair didnt have fireworks last night. SO?

Erin said...

AK Adam, I think the fireworks referred to are the news outlets going bananas.

Jill said...

CNN is wondering, and has her photo up.

Yomi Mizuhara said...

Adam and Sherri: Thank you for that info.

Kick some ass, y'all.

Mosby2 said...

I think they meant VP selection FIREWORKS..not actual fireworks...

This may not be good....

getting worried...

Benjamin said...

It looks like we won't know if Drew is a hero or villain until the actual announcement.

Mountain Mama said...

HEY ERIN and NIGHT OWL!

Here's what I PRAY is happening: It's Palin; she's McCain's pick.

But to throw everyone off and keep it a secret, they're going to FIB about her whereabouts until then....I won't believe she's in Alaska UNLESS someone films her being actually THERE.

And still----couldn't they just use a big Jumbo-Tron thing today of her with McCain? Like The One used last night? (ick.......)

(I'm just sayin'......)

VP said...

So Drew, Can I breath now? Just say yes or no and I'll know.....

Erin said...

New post from Adam! I'm switching up there.

Hott Spott said...

CNN is spending so much time talking about Obama that they are totally missing this story. Good! lol they will look stupid

Truth Seeker said...

If McCain only let 3 or 4 people no who the pick was, would Palin even let her staff in on it?

s.b. said...

Her spokesperson would not know she is the pick and is just doing her job. The way you keep secrets that have national security implications is to not tell people, like Obama did.

The way to find out for sure is to find out if her son has been pulled from his unit. He won't be able to serve overseas now, and wouldn't leave his unti to go to the fall fair.

Chris said...

CNBC reports Palin has been selected by McCain

Wow. This is a great day for the Republican Party, for women and for the country.

I may have started this election in a very different position - originally supporting Huckabee and even willing to vote Obama if Romney had become the GOP candidate - but right now I could honestly not be more happy with McCain's pick right now. This is going to be an historic election, no matter who wins.

peter said...

Yes what a great choice of music, since Jon Bon Jovi is firmly behind the Deomocratic Party and an Obama win.

Valley Girl said...

Wow, I was wrong.

Congratulations!

PeanutbutterandJellybean said...

Drew,

Was that you being interviewed by Bill Hemmer on Fox today?

Johnny said...

As someone who is opposed to letting a (potentially) senile old man with anger management issues lead us into the future, I was pleasantly surprised at his choice for Vice President. By choosing Palin I believe he improved the Democrats chance of victory in November.

You can gush over Palin and her many virtues all day long but the polls make it pretty clear that "undecided" voters have shifted towards Obama and away from McCain. (How anyone can have a tough time choosing either McCain or Obama at this point baffles me but that's another story)
