Starstruck

Just so that you all know, I did receive a brief phone call tonight from Todd and Sarah Palin. Thanks to them for being so kind.

Also, a lot of people deserve HUGE shout outs tonight, so I'll try to start the list. If I miss anyone, I'm sorry:

Steve Maloney (our longest standing supporter), Kristopher Lorelli of PalinForVP.com (who put in TONS of leg work), PalinforAmerica.com, Students of America on MySpace, the original "Ted" (easily our most vocal advocate), Eric Dondero, Trish Houser of Palintology.com, all of the media who were willing to interview me before interviewing me was cool, and everyone in the comments section who kept the faith. I'm sure I'll think of more, but that's a start.

They're chanting "PA-lin; PA-lin; PA-lin!" in PA. Awesome. :D

As a woman who works in broadcast news I feel like I'm strapped in a straight jacket following the announcement of Palin for VP. I hate that in my position I can't publicly voice my feeling of wanting to combust with excitement! I want to start my own website but know I can't. This decision has secured my vote for McCain ticket in November!

I'm sorry; it's actually "SA-rah; SA-rah; SA-rah!!!" And McCain joined in. She's so great!

This speech is already way better.

*Wiping away tears*

I just read through ALL of the posts since two nights ago, when we were DY-ING to know if Palin had been chosen. It's so moving to re-read everything: we ALL so badly wanted Palin to be selected.

Again: SARAH WILL FILL < THREE > STADIUMS---EASILY! WOO WOO!

You LUCK, Erin, to get to go see them!
*Thinking hard what to sell to bring the campaign here....*

I have several anchor friends, and they have to keep shut, in private even, about their support for conservatives in general; it isn't allowed even privately in the liberal press....

I think it is FINE to support a qualified candidate for being a woman. Why is it okay for 90%+ people of color to support Obama because he's of color---- and yet somehow it's wrong to support Palin mostly (but not solely) because she's a woman?

DOUBLE STANDARD!

Plus, Palin IS qualified----or, at least, more qualified as a VP than Obama is as a P < or > VP.

I'm so excited now maybe we can have a 72 year old president with a young vp who claims she doesnt follow the war that much. I guess the war on terror really isnt that important because mccain is willing to entrust our safety as a nation to someone who doesnt follow it. And for the kid who started this blog and belongs to the young republicans group your a good age you know the military could really use some more soldiers. And be prepared because if the republicans plan on taking on Iran and Russia say hello to the draft.

Sarah Palin is a diamond in the rough.

Thanks to all who worked so hard to bring her out of the Alaskan tundra and into this historic unprecedented election.

I am a woman of her age, a former hockey mom, the wife of a man who works on an oil platform, and a conservative! I feel compelled to say that I feel a connection. What is most important though is the positive impact that she will bring to our country.

I think we have a keeper!

Awesome job!!!

brownzfan19, I would LOVE to know your definition of, "following the war" as well as where you got the supposed quote from Governor Palin. I also want to know why you feel that an Obama/Biden ticket is any more qualified to lead our country than a McCain/Palin one. If you happened to miss it, GOVERNOR Palin has more experience than McCain, Obama and Biden combined- maybe not in years, but in quality, actually RUNNING something, and her 80% approval rating. If my math is correct, Governor Palin has been in politics longer than Barack Obama- and he's running as the Democratic front man!

Erin,
I hope I made myself clear. I do not believe this rumor, but I wanted to know if there was something we/I could do to fight it. You are right, Governor Palin probably shouldn't even lower herself to address it. However, when I see such things, I tend to want to put a stop to such rumors. That's why I asked. I certainly hope you folks don't think I want to spread it because I surely do not intend to do that.

About 14-16 months ago (not certain of the date), Gov. Palin DID say she hadn't followed the war that closely LATELY, but no doubt she's learned a lot more about it during this past year, as her son prepared to serve there.

Brownzfan:
This is a pro-Palin weblog. You are invited to LEAVE, and take your nasty sarcasm with you.

On a POSITIVE note: the polls are very favorable re. Sarah, and not so much re. Biden. YIPPEE!

Larry, I know you were just bringing it up as more disgusting treatment of a fine woman from a scared MSM. :) This is actually GOOD news for us! They're painting this as such a bad pick, and Sarah's knocking socks off everywhere she goes.

She really did get better today in her speech. It was the same one, but she was more at ease. I didn't think she had a case of nerves yesterday, but I think she did. Today was more comfortable.

Mountain Mama said...

And Larry----if you stay positive, we will trust you.
I'd say this rumor about Palin's new baby is about as sick as the one about the McCains' adopted daughter in the 2000 election cycle. (Some of Bush's surrogates, sadly, put out a rumor that McCain was the "father of an illegitimate black girl." It's true----they adopted her, though; he isn't her biological father.)

There's a special hell-hole for people who sink this low, to win.

Go to the newer post, Guys!

Larry - Understood that you are a concerned supporter. I think we should count that ridiculous rumor as just some desperate attempt to sling mud. Look at it this way:

(1.) How could someone in the high-profile office of governor successfully "fake" a pregnancy?
It wouldn't take much digging to uncover a "conspiracy" of that magnitude.

(3.) MOST Down Syndrome babies are born to women in their forties, NOT to teenagers.

(4.) Why would they do that? Seems much more likely the Palins are the kind of people who would face the situation head on and show their daughter all the love and support she would need.

Erin, maybe it would be helpful to google a performance of Judy Tenuta. Strident. I have difficulty listening to what Palin says because of her voice and affect.

Molly she said she doesnt follow the war. As for her having more experience WOW! thats a lie she's been govenor for 20 month's barrack has been in the united states senate since 2004 has been briefed on all foreign policy events going on in the world and was a senator for the state of illinois for 8 years before that. I'm not against picking a women for vp I think it should have happened a long time ago a women could lead this country as well as a man. But at least find someone who has more experience with foreign policy. I think this will energize the base some but when the intial excitment wears off and people come to find that she could be the president it's not going to be good. I know the evangelicals will be happy with the pick because they think they will overturn roe v wade, which they wont because while republicans always use the abortion issue it's still an issue that most americans support pro-choice. I know John Mccain seems like he's just one of us a guy you can have a beer with. Well from the last 8 years we know what it's like to have a leader just like us. It Sucks. Although i am going to take more time to learn more about sarah palin I wont just write her off i have 60 more days to see if she is capible of leading this country

It's unbelieveable how brained washed many people are! Palin has a bad rap already and could NEVER resume the position as President if deemed necessary!

So Palin's 17 year-old kid is knocked up, huh?

My, those family-value evangelicals sure know how to raise a kid, huh?

Who knew that barefoot and pregnant hillbillies migrated all the way to Alaska?

With all the hoop-ha about Palin'daughter pregnancy, at least she's not about to abort her child. If Obama has his way he would say "Damn the pregnacy! Abort! Abort! If unsuccessful use the last resort, partial birth abortion, piece by piece!" I admired Sarah great courage, she has fortitude because she know it is not the unborn child fault that this came about. Come on pin head liberals, let see how many your aborted children your eyes will behold one day while you looking up from Hell seeing those beautiful children in Heaven with our Lord and Savior. Before you libppp start critize Sarah, first take the moat out of your own eye before you try to take the beam of your someone else eye. We all love you, Sarah. God bless your family and protect them from harm. Robert Chow from Hainan, China

jabawee, only the Demonic Party liberals will read their own trash. you need someone teach you some fact of life. you have been in the wrong crowd. get reform. i can tell you are a negro by the sound of your tone. i reserve the right to call you a negro because in spanish it mean black. i have many Black friends throughout my military career and i don't call them Negro. you are nowhere like them by your distasteful comment. those Black friends still my best friends because they know that God input love in their heart. i pitied the death occurred to the Black slaves when they were left starving and taken advantage by the crooked party you now cherish so adamantly. where do you think the Demonic Party originated? i love you as a fellow human being just as other Black brothers i have, but i will not be partner with any party that take precious life and butcher the unborn piece by piece. jabawee, where are you heading when you catch your last breathe, Hell or Heaven? there is such person call Jesus, the Lord and Savior. he is all mankind only hope, not the Demonic Party nor the Republican Party. i will support and vote the party that give the unborn chance to live. do you? i may not know your face but i will find you out one day in Heaven, hopefully you are not in Hell, that would be impossible for me to visit you there. i hope the truth will set you free. robert of hainan, china
