Adam - Wonderful! You just keep getting more and more famous!!! God is using you! Looking forward to it of course......

fyi - Rush is getting ALL OVER this 2001 Obama interview today! Just hope it isn't too late. BUT I'm still trusting in God handling this. He knew all about it and that it was there, etc. so maybe now is the exact time it needs to come out, contrary to our human thinking. Go Rush!!!!

Scott - yeah, know what you mean about Dick Morris. I too was afraid to listen! ha! Well, maybe he's not as smart as he may think he is.

mountain mama - REALLY disturbed me about that Senior Youth Group leader who might very well vote for Obama. VERY disturbing. Does he not know or care about, know about the pro-life (& marriage) issue either????? Something is definitely wrong here. If it was up to me, I would have a long talk with him about this & if he still remained the same, I definitely would not let him be any kind of leader for the youth group (or anywhere else) & pray for him!!! I know some aren't as passionate as I am about this & of course the other issues we've discussed are of importance, but as I see it, this is of the highest importance and SHOULD be a definitive reason for at least Christians voting for the "pro-life" ticket!!!! This has always greatly disturbed me about the so called, self professing "Christians" NOT caring about this issue. It's mind boggling. If all these voted with this in mind, we would win with a landslide!!! Someone sent me an excellent ad by the Catholics about this very thing -- sanctity of life. The demonic strategy of "dumbing down" this issue has worked fantasticly!!! I'm afraid this is not uncommon - he is a "typical" example. His thoughts that "socialism" isn't that bad - I've heard that a lot. People really don't understand about this and what it will mean...."they know not what they do." How applicable to all this!!!

Also I'm trying to keep trusting that God is allowing all this to remain this close, etc. because that way people will pray harder & more since I think it's a humongous spiritual warfare issue. It'll probably be this way to the very end. God wants us to pray harder than ever before!
This was not a surprise to Him!!! He knew all about it, knows everything about everything & has His plans/strategies. And I trust Him more than people/polls. I pray He won't decide that we unfortunately need to experience/see for ourselves the disaster/truth about all this for the next 4 years in order to wake people up. Again, please God have mercy on us!!

CNN has decided finally not to show Sarah's rallies at all on TV; they still are on the 'rogue' argument; now it is her comments on the wardrobe issue that has the McCain handlers up in arms. Oh, my, what a scandal. That a woman defends herself from a false charge levelled at her by the MSM media in front of an audience unfiltered is worse than Joe Biden going off the reservation and basically saying that Obama will be perceived to be weak when President and will invite an international incident. Does somebody have their priorities all screwed up?

techno said...

More good news on the poll front. Rasmussen shows McCain gaining 3 points in one day-now only 5 behind; Gallup Traditional stays at 5. Battleground stays at 3. Of course we know Zogby is in the process of rehabilitating himself and now shows McCain only 4.8% behind but the best news is the IBD/TIPP poll showing that McCain is now only 2.8% behind Obama and that folks is withing the MOE-a gain of .4 in one day. Again to re-emphasize the point John and Sarah are in the hunt; we are just past the halfway mark of the 4th quarter and we are only a field goal down. Don't listen to the MSM who try to tell you we are 2 touchdowns down. Crapola. It's really anybody's game now.

My prayers will be with you. I will pray that God our creator will give you wisdom and discernment. I pray for boldness and clarity. Speak the Truth and my God our Father protect you.

Regarding the IBD/TIPP poll I thought I'd pass on to some very interesting tidbits: down 51 points to Obama in the Jewish vote (69-18)yesterday, McCain is down only 28 points, a gain of 23 points among Jewish voters in one day (61-33); that's incredible; down 33 points (60-27) to Obama among moderates yesterday, McCain is only 24 points down today, a gain of 9 points in one day (57-33).

Wow, cannot believe how incredibly blind you are by the total lack of ability of Gov. Palin. This has been a total disaster for the GOP and why as a Republican I will not be voting for McCain

Great job, Adam!

Good interview Adam. The reporter could not have been a more arrogant and self-annointed "know-it-all", but you maintained course and got the point across! Big ups, CNN man. That is no small feat.

Scott said...

what did sarah say about her clothing that has the McCain people upset?

Scott said...

profit profit, she has more experience than obama

Rats! I couldn't be home to watch you, Adam. I look forward to viewing the video, knowing you did well!
Thanks, Momprayn, re. the guy in our youth group. He isn't an official leader, but all the kids (sadly) look up to him. I'm praying he'll read what I'm sending him (oh, ye-ahh......), and Think Again!

I've never been a conspiracy believer, but Obama is nearly converting me! Consider: ACORN forced banks to give loans, so it's behind the Fanny/Freddie mess, and Obama & Ayers are behind ACORN. So THEY are the true villians (with help from Pelosi, Frank, etc.) behind our economy's tanking!

NOW---reflect upon the precise TIMING of this tanking: right when MCCAIN was AHEAD of Obama!
Obama is quite the little organizer, to pull this off just in time to ruin McCain's win!
MAY OBAMA NOT SUCCEED!

Really, if the above occurred, then isn't this the first known incident of Global Economic Terrorism?
.....sigh......
People become conspiracy believers because their spirits SENSE the truth: there are dark forces which are trying very hard behind the scenes to run our lives.
We just aren't sure how successful or extensive are their efforts to investigate and run our lives.
And it's all so creepy that we don't like thinking about it!

Praise God for being in Ultimate Control. HELP, LORD!

here's a good analogy for baseball fans

does anyone remember the 1988 world series where the dodgers were down in the 9th inning and they brought in an injured kirk gibson to pinch hit? I remember thinking he'll never make it to first base even if he hits the ball.. he hit a home run and limped around the bases to give the dodgers the win.

It's game 7 of the world series, bottom of the 9th inning.. our team is down by 3 runs.. the bases are loaded and the count is 3-2 with 2 outs. Who is up to bat but kirk gibson set to hit a home run...

here's the actual video of it
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oscr6I1xJH0

(ok that would be worst case scenario.. we might not be in that bad of shape :p) but all we need is that one home run.. and all david needed was that one stone.

Scott said...

mountain mom

you remember that bit of obama's during the comedy roast of himself.. "everyone says if we keep talking about the economy, McCain can't win.. so tonight i'd like to talk about the economy". He's not exactly feeling bad that so many people are hurting right now.

Breaking News - Just on Fox re some neo-Nazi skinheads being arrested in Tenn. for assasination plot against Obama (& other black students I think). The Obama campaign says they will not comment on it and won't ever. ??? Anyway - I have been worried about this possible scenario. Surely there are people out there wanting this. If it happens before the election -then what? Substitute Hillary????? And think of the racism issue then or if this ever happens period. No, don't think an Aleve can help. Guess I'll just do as I said earlier - cross that bridge if we ever have to come to that. Take one day at a time.......but goes to show there are many things that can happen out there to change things. No one knows when their "time" will come, among all the other "unexpected" circumstances/disasters.

I admire your loyalty, but your CNN interview showed why Governor Palin is not a viable choice. When Sanchez showed the poll on Palin's unfavorablity rating ratcheting up from 20-something to 50-something from the RNC convention to now, it was all over in terms of your argument. It wasn't your fault though, it's just that there is nothing substantive to say in her defense once we get past the image. If she cannot answer a simple question on the economy, if she does not understand simple international relations issues, then all she has is the moose hunting hockey mom image. And most of america is not buying into that. People were initially charmed, but once most people got a chance to peep under the hood they saw that there was nothing of substance there beyond the image. Further, she turns people off by playing divisive politics - the good, patriotic small town americans vs. the evil rest of the country. Most thinking people understand that this is not what we need for President and hence VP. Good leaders bring people together, they do not divide. And this is why she is contributing to a losing ticket.

Wrong-O, Reindeer!
It's NOT that Sarah Palin is all style, without substance; it's that YOU and many other people were DUPED by some crafty editing! Gov. Palin did WELL on the Gibson interview (he was the uninformed one re. the Bush Doctrine, because there are actually FOUR such doctrines----just ask Charles Krauthammer, who btw is the Very Guy who created that designation!).
You need to go watch the full video of the Couric interview. The televised clips DELETED the substantive responses of Palin!
Read my comment on more recent threads re. how many liberals do NOT seem to love America.

The point is: NO one is fully prepared to become President. Even Clinton had to be prepared, since he too hailed from a small state and had NO foreign policy experience (living in England while a student doesn't count).

Face it: the liberal press was out to slaughter Palin.

WHY don't liberals realize that if you have to CHEAT to win (such as by editing mendaciously), then you haven't really WON! Eventually the truth will be revealed....

Scott said...

most of america is not buying into that?? jambee are you some kind of prophet? sarah palin is pulling in the same numbers at her rallies as obama and she's more coherent than biden.. if that is your argument then obama is no better.

"JanBee said..."

Oh where do I begin?

"I admire your loyalty, but your CNN interview showed why Governor Palin is not a viable choice."

Let's assume you're talking VP. And King Of Stupid Biden is?

"When Sanchez showed the poll on Palin's unfavorablity rating ratcheting up from 20-something to 50-something from the RNC convention to now"

Um, so? That means the faux supporters (like liberals Kathleen Parker, Peggy Noonan, David Brooks, and so on) have been purged and we're only talking about CNN worshippers anyway, nowhere near a true indication of how SP is viewed. Not like they came and polled me..............

"If she cannot answer a simple question on the economy"

Which one would you like? Govt get the hell outta the way is good enough for me. Wish Bush and Clinton would have operated like that.

"if she does not understand simple international relations issues,"

You mean like Mr. "We chased Hezbollah out of Lebanon" (when quite frankly, thanks to Stupid Joe, it was the other way around), THAT kind of vast foreign policy knowledge? She wants to defend us from the same people that Barry wants to capitulate to. WHO'S the illiterate again?

"then all she has is the moose hunting hockey mom image. And most of america is not buying into that."

Yes that's why her rallies are frequently moved to accomodate larger crowds cause clearly no one cares............

"Further, she turns people off by playing divisive politics - the good, patriotic small town americans vs. the evil rest of the country."

Oh yes dems NEVER do that. Let me say this, I'm from a formerly conservative city (Spokane, WA) that will officially go code blue in the next five years because of Seattle transplants, Seattle-lite media, and weak McCainesque conservative/liberals. I currently attend a school (EWU) that is to the left of Mao. All we have left on the east side is those small towns that "bitterly cling to guns and religion". Tell me who plays divisive politics again.

"Most thinking people understand that this is not what we need for President and hence VP. Good leaders bring people together, they do not divide. And this is why she is contributing to a losing ticket."

Gee, you sound just like McCain. HE's the one contributing to a losing ticket, not Sarah. She'll win it for him if anything else.

Mountain Mama - The "crafty editing" excuse is so lame. That would be valid if you can show that they moved her responses out of context - for example, if they lifted her response to one question and edited it to seem to respond to another question. But unless you can show me otherwise (I've seen the video many times and seen her listen to and respond to the questions) this was not the case. The question that totally showed that she is not cut out for the job was the one on the economy. This was not a Gotcha question. It was a basic question that anyone with reasonable judgement and a working knowledge of what is going on should be able to speak to. The transcript is below. Read it and please explain to me how you could believe that someone who responds like a clueless 8th grader losing a school debate could possibly be ready to lead the free world. That was not a gotcha question, it did not require knowledge of esoteric facts; it required a little thoughtfulness and judgement. The ability to string together a bunch of talking points into meaningless garbage is unimpressive to most reasonably intelligent people.

To Scott - Actually you're wrong - Palin's rally numbers, while high (mccain campaign says 23 thousand) is nowhere near the 100 thousand figures of Obama's biggest rallies. But those numbers mean nothing. I was talking about the statistical polls of people who feel satisfied about Obama's readiness(in the 50s to 60s depending on source) vs those of Palin's (in the 20s). This is why Obama is turning so many red states blue.

Transcript:

Katie Couric: Why isn't it better, Gov. Palin, to spend $700 billion helping middle-class families who are struggling with health care, housing, gas and groceries; allow them to spend more and put more money into the economy instead of helping these big financial institutions that played a role in creating this mess?

Gov. Sarah Palin: That's why I say I, like every American I'm speaking with, we're ill about this position that we have been put in where it is the taxpayers looking to bail out. But ultimately, what the bailout does is help those who are concerned about the health-care reform that is needed to help shore up our economy, helping the -- it's got to be all about job creation, too, shoring up our economy and putting it back on the right track. So health-care reform and reducing taxes and reining in spending has got to accompany tax reductions and tax relief for Americans. And trade, we've got to see trade as opportunity, not as a competitive, scary thing. But one in five jobs being created in the trade sector today, we've got to look at that as more opportunity. All those things under the umbrella of job creation. This bailout is a part of that.

PS: God is always in ultimate control, and his will is being done as we speak. We'll see God's will done on November 4th. I hope that you can accept His will for this country whether or not you like it. Blessed be His name.

Dear Janbee:
Re.: "God is always in ultimate control, and his will is being done as we speak. We'll see God's will done on November 4th. I hope that you can accept His will for this country whether or not you like it. Blessed be His name."

I agree: AMEN! God can work good even out of an evil election result (smile)!

Seriously: let us all pray that God can impact BOTH parties----Republicans and Democrats----such that they will be EQUALLY gracious losers, no matter who wins!
(No offense, but Dems tend to be lousy election losers....)

Re.: "The "crafty editing" excuse is so lame.... The question that totally showed that she is not cut out for the job was the one on the economy."

Clearly she became befuddled. My guess is that she didn't understand Couric's questioning that vote, because OBAMA VOTED FOR IT, TOO, not just McCain.

Anyway, like it or NOT, ALL the candidates have blown one or two responses-to-questions over the course of the election cycle! Check out Obama's performance at the Rick Warren forum: Obama and his own STAFF were also upset with it afterward!

Palin's FEW problematic answers are magnified because she's entering the race at the end of this election cycle, which isn't her fault. The other candidates have been at it for months... years!

And if Palin had EVER made the gaffes Joe Biden is making REGULARLY, the press would have had her hide by now, and YOU KNOW IT.

To reject her entire candidacy on the basis of one answer is just dumb. Don't believe me: read at www.lynettelong.com for more brilliant / more academic responses to such concerns, if you find me too lowbrow.

One last note: liberals should rely LESS on their "feelings." Even though you refer to them at least once, I'm glad you're using your mind. However, please read more about Obama's past (I'm was also a member of Chicago's "radical chic:" he was hanging with THE most radical), reconsider your position, and vote for McCain-Palin!

Mountain Mama said...

Rats! "I also was a member"---is what I meant to type.
Plus, I meant that Palin hasn't been in THIS election cycle long; she's been "at it" in terms of governing for YEARS!

I'm talking rally size on a day to day basis.. not his one 100k rally.
It's never God's will for a candidate that doesn't stand in defense of the murdering of His creation to be elected.. He only allows it because of the sinfulness of the nation.

So you have one interview where sarah stumbled over a question out of frustration because she knew she was being bated? It's not bad for someone who just started doing these types of interviews.. since we're comparing gaffes with ability to lead, here are a few of the not so perfect obama.. you took one interview to judge the woman, now here's my 3
obama loses train of thought on iraq

obama claims to have visited 57 states

Give the kid a breathalyzer test.

so if making mistakes (and i'll give him that, maybe they were honest mistakes, i mean any 8th grader could confuse the fact we don't have 57 states) is an indicator of someone not ready to lead, or to use your words "who responds like a clueless 8th grader losing a school debate could possibly be ready to lead the free world.", then your guy is 3 times less able to lead by my one example alone, and i have more of them.

JanBee said...

Mountain-Mama - you are right about God being at work even through evil election results; examples abound from over the past 8 years:) Anyway, I am not a Democrat, neither am I Republican - I don't believe in voting out of party loyalty. I am definitely not a liberal -actually pretty conservative. I choose to vote Obama because his healthcare, education and economic policies are better for the country in my opinion. Mccain's education policy is minimal, despite the fact that we are falling behind other developed countries. This is absolutely crucial to america's future as a world leader. Likewise, I believe that healthcare access should be a human right not a privilage here in the US. I have read both candidate's policies over the past several months, and Obama's judgement is more sound, despite the fact that I disagree on a few social issues. Further, mccain has shown himself to be too tactical vs strategic: he constantly changes his message. That's why I am choosing the other ticket. I have many friends who are independent or republican who also see Obama as the only viable choice. And the fact that the people who are most fervantly backing mccain/palin - especially palin - are in my opinion the most divisive people on the airwaves - the Rushes, the Newts of the world - assures me that I am doing the right thing. We are tired of people who try to mix Godliness and Christianity with bigotry and intolerance. This is the problem of the extreme right, or the people who try to talk for this group. I cannot stand for that, even if I may share some of their positions on social issues.
