Holiday Hiatus

UPDATE: Visit my new blog, "The Brickyard"...and follow me on Twitter while you're at it.
---
Hello everyone. If you haven't noticed, this blog has been rather quiet recently. This is in part due to the fact that I am very busy looking for employment and housing in the DC area, and partly due to the decrease in focus on the election. Hence, while I intend to continue blogging, I will not be posting here until after the New Year. Frankly, after almost two years at this gig, I think we could all use bit of a break to think and refocus.

Now, this does not mean we are shutting down. In fact, there are several things that I will be pursuing and would like your opinion on.

1) This website will not be changing its look...at all. Due to the fact that it is being archived by the Library of Congress as a site of historical significance, I intend to leave the name and design of this page intact for posterity and will not redesign. However, I may look into moving operations to a new location where we can put up a page with a more general and/or 2012-based focus.

2) I will probably be looking at launching a personal site/blog that will have a more general political scope (although it will almost surely include a section devoted to all things Sarah).

Thank you for reading and please keep coming back. I'm not going anywhere, just taking a breather before launching new efforts.

I hope all of you have a Merry Christmas or (in my case) a Happy Hanukkah, and I will see you all soon.

- Adam Brickley

Happy Hanukkah to Adam and to my Jewish friends.

Merry Christmas to everyone.

With my joke nickname, I always hate to reveal my true IQ, but I don't know if I totally understand what Adam is saying. Are we being asked, in a nice way to stop posting thoughts here? Is he saying that he will be busy but the site is still open? Gentle guidance will be appreciated from you.

Brian, I was do happy to hear from you and to hear the update on your brother. I had a feeling that prayers and good medicine would come through for him.

Hi, everyone!

I am wondering if Adam is hinting that we should all stop posting comments here. I'm not sure....

Well, keep writing. Evidently the moderator is still posting them.

Hey, I have a question for bloggers with monikers: how did you select your blogging name? I obviously picked mine from having lived in the mountains----but "Mountain Mama" also connotes a more down-to-earth worldview I treasure. How about you, Knowitall? Techno? Everyone else?

Hello Everyone,
Being on the inside track a bit, I know that Adam is taking a break from posting for the holidays -- he is swamped with working his internship, looking for apartments, permanent jobs, etc. But he'll be reading. I know he has a few new things to unveil with the New Year as well that he's working on.
As for everyone else..Please stay activ! I hope Kristofer will have time for a few posts, maybe a few other guest bloggers will drop in, and to all the faithful commenters....Please keep posting here!

I'll be checking in here and there as well. Right now I have to go finish wrapping a few Hannukah gifts baking some goodies to ship to my boy in DC. May everyone enjoy a wonderful holiday.

Thanks, knowitall!! FYI, my brother's radiation therapy ends today, ten days earlier than had been projected. He has been exhausted by the process, but is in good spirits. Thanks again, All, for your thoughts and prayers!!

Mountain Mama, my moniker, as I am sure you know, is simply a Latin way of saying "Brian of Berkeley." As to the Latin part, I am ABD (all but dissertation) for the doctorate in the Classics (Latin and Greek). I have taught Latin at both the university and high-school levels. As to the Berkeley part, I was born here, and have lived here all my life. My late mother, in fact, took me to see JFK when he visited my city in March of 1962 (I was very young!!) I remember everything from the 60's: the riots, the protests, the tear gas, the National Guard...

Anyway, Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to All. Adam, I love your site. The winter of my discontent over Obama's victory has been mitigated by warming thoughts of our Sarah, and by hopes for the future: Sarah Palin, Lady Beautiful and Lady Brave of the North Country!!

I'm sorry to be so gloomy over the Christmas season but here's something I just thought of. If the Supreme Court refuses to rule on 'the natural born' controversy now what is there to stop Obama from running for a third term for President in 8 years (after he has changed his name back to Barry Obama), with several justices on the bench by then handpicked by him, just ignoring any lawsuits brought up by the public that question Obama's eligibility for office based on the 22nd Amendment (limit of 2 terms as President)?

knowitall said...

tbone,
i had always wondered about that. Do you remember George's nickname of T-bone in Senfeld? Of course it was better than his porn star nickname, "Buck Naked".
As much as I did not want to like that show it was funny.

My wife was watching the simpsons when I left for work. I had to think of Sarah. Homer said he wanted to go to Alaska where you can not to be bad, you can not be too drunk and no one asks you if you have GED. :<)

Here is what I wrote over at Hot Air: Here is I believe how Obama and his merry men and women propose to dismantle the Constitution and set the stage where Obama can become President for life. First let me set the scene. The American Policy Institute (API) has just asserted at World Net Daily that 32 states have already taken a vote to convene a Constitutional Convention (Con Con) with Ohio considering going along with its assemblage. That would mean that the states would only be 1 state short (34) of being able to apply to Congress, whereupon the Congress would have no alternative but to call for a convention 'for proposing Amendments, which shall be valid to all Intents and Purposes, as part of this Constitution, when ratified by the legislatures of 3/4 of the several states or by Conventions in 3/4 thereof, as the one or the other Mode of Ratification may be proposed by Congress...' (Article V). Let me now say that the overt motive for the convention is to look at passing an amendment requiring a balanced budget for federal agencies which doesn't seem bad on the surface. However, Tom DeWeese of the API stated that 'the US Constitution places no restrictions on the purposes for which the states can call a convention.' In other words once a convention is called and delegates selected anything can be proposed such as eliminating or amending the right to free speech, the right to bear arms, and maybe abolish the 4th, 5th and 10th amendments and the rest of the Bill of Rights', including repealing the 22nd Amendment limiting the President to 2 terms maximum. Now if Congress agrees to ratification of the 3/4 (38) of the states represented at the convention then all Obama has to do is to threaten, bully, bribe, blackmail or corrupt 38 state delegations to get his agenda passed, Now if Congress insists on that 38 of the State legislatures have to ratify the various proposals then all Obama has to is appoint and assign 50 individuals to each of the 50 states with their only assignment being to bring the state legislature in line. For some of those kingpins the task is straightforward. In Democratic-controlled legislatures or those leaning in a majority to Obama just keep each legislator on your side until the vote comes up. For those legislatures where Obama or the Democrats are not in a majority, the kingpin would compile a data base consisting of the legislators and their voting preference. As to ones who oppose Obama first they would try to buy them off and if they couldn't be bought set about in the next election cycle to take them out at the polls and replace them by someone who favors Obama. This would take big money to achieve, but as we all know Obama and his money men have more money than Fort Knox. Follow this game plan over a 4-6 year period and I think you can see that Obama might get to 38 states eventually. From that point everything is lost. Obama can then become President for life (even if elections are still legal he will rig them with the help of ACORN so that he will never lose again.) Now I would invite anybody out there to tear my analysis apart and tell me why this could never happen. I would be happy to know and I think a lot of Americans would like to know as well.

Yes, Brianus, although I only know liturgical Latin, I figured out what your name meant.
I suppose there's no need for us to ponder how you came by YOUR nickname, Knowitall! (smirk)

Mountain Mama, I too love liturgical Latin!! I am just old enough to have caught, in my early youth, the last days of the "old order" before the Roman Revolution of Vatican II. I have my trusty old Pius XII Missale Romanum (Roman Missal) and Breviarium Romanum (Roman Breviary), and I try to pray from them daily. Truly, both the Church Latin and the Classical Latin of my beloved Cicero, Virgil, Livy, Ovid and so many others are treasures, treasures mostly hidden from the last couple of generations. There was a REASON that every student in the US, up until about the era between the Great War and WWII, HAD to study Latin, at least up through high school. Anyway, I know that times change, and that things evolve; still, I do believe we have lost our way just a little bit!!

God bless you all, especially you, Adam, and your mom for your great work: Sarah 2012!!!!

I regret having to revert back to rehashing the election but over at Free Republic a poster Mancolicani, I believe, has summed up McCain's and the campaign's performance. Although it was not the pivotal cause of the defeat (financial meltdown and hatred of Bush), the posting reveals the quintessential approach that the top of the ticket should NOT ever take if he or she expects to win in a Presidential campaign: "I'm still incensed about him (McCain) not using Reverend Wright. They should have hit hard and repeatedly and they could've even done it in the 'idealistic' Kumbayaish language of youth. In the land that now celebrates MLK's birthday, in which racial issues have been faced, there was a candidate (Obama) who literally TURNED THE CLOCK BACK TO THE DARKEST NIGHTS OF HUMANITY. Same goes for Ayres. Hey! if you want to know what Ayres is all about, just look at the recent pictures of Bombay. That's terrorism. An unrepentant terrorist for crying out loud. Both of the above were RELIGIOUS issues that should've been faced with RELIGIOUS INTENSITY instead of reaching for gray areas. He (McCain) should've also stood up-with outrage!-for Sarah Palin when all the press was trashing her. WHAT WAS MISSING WAS PASSION, DRIVE, INTENSITY. HONESTY ABOUT RACE INSTEAD OF FEAR OF IT. HONESTY ABOUT WHAT IT REALLY MEANS TO BE ASSOCIATED WITH A TERRORIST. Then if you lose the election...well so be it. You fought with CONVICTION, and there was plenty of room for good, solid, thought-provoking conviction on the side of strategy. FRANKLY WHEN STRUGGLING AGAINST MORAL DEPRAVITY (WRIGHT/ACORN/ODINGA.AYRES/REZKO)there's no such thing as a strategy without conviction."

Mountain Mama said...

Terrific quote, Techno. I was thinking this morning how odd it would be if McCain really had won; I'd be thrilled about Palin's win, but a little nervous about the unorganized McCain. Then again, hopefully he'd have built a superb Cabinet, been more conservative, etc....

(Julie, I wondered if "TKD Momma" meant, "ticked off Momma." Hee Hee!)

Here are 10 thoughts that explain America as it limps towards self-destruction: 1)The vast majority of hardcore Democrats quite frankly are now amoral, secular humanists regardless of their religious affiliation; they have rejected the traditional American values of honesty, truth, fair play, and honor and instead have embraced the expedient values of deceit, prevarication, ruthless 'big lie' propaganda being manifested in the fact that the referees (the MSM) have now been bought, who possess the power to unfairly penalize and cripple the opposition and unjustly introduce setbacks that they find it extremely difficult to overcome, and nefarious treachery to the nth degree that worships at the altar of 'winning at any cost' and the politics of personal destruction. Republicans, especially the evangelical types, are simply too naive, charitable, and sheltered from the hard-boiled world of Democratic hardball. They would rather bring knives to a gun fight (The Untouchables) rather than wake up and fight fire with fire. They also do not have the gumption to do whatever is necessary or as Sean Connery said in The Untouchables: he (Capone) sends one of your guys to the hospital-you send one of his guys to the morgue. The majority of GOP critics question the message of the Republican candidates while I question whether they possess the impassioned intensity and the principled conviction to win bad enough, whether sophisticated 'elitists' have the mettle and moxie to take the fight to the Democrats 'with both barrels' and whether overly deferential politicians are too genteel to do what it takes to land telling blows and sucker punches and not regret hitting below the belt on occasions, thus not reflecting a 'take no prisoners' mentality, 2) the overt science of yesterday (the desire to help human beings to live longer or less pain-stricken lives) has been superseded by the science of presumptuous iconoclasm that has as its ultimate goal to detach 'religious folks' from their paramount faith in God and to substitute that with an abiding faith in science and its regulatory arm, government. 3)the extraordinary ability of the public school system to turn out such historically-deficient morons as evidenced by the poll commissioned by John Ziegler of Obama voters in this age of instant communciation, increased knowledge of the importance of pre-school education and the use of high-tech devices to teach and learn testifies to the agenda of socialist-bent teachers and the public school system to denigrate the history of America and why she was founded and instead spew one diatribe after another to why America is the world's greatest 'sinner' and that students need to radicalize their attitudes and become anti-traditional Americans. Thus American children grow up 'hating' America and for what she stands; do you wonder why these morons embrace 'spreading the wealth' and 'white guilt'? 4)when mortgage loans are dispensed based on financial hardship or the perceived need to redress 'historical disadvantage' rather than on credit worthiness and the ability to pay back the loan, you abandon the core value of American business standards, which is personal integrity. Acting irrationally or being forced to act irrationally against one's own interests and one's own common sense is a prescription to catastrophe and financial devastation. 5) I will say it again and again and again: when a man who has virtually no experience in running any enterprise, who associates with the most questionable and sordid characters imaginable from an unrepentant domestic terrorist and his selfsame wife, who is a close friend of a pro-Palestinian who called for the destruction of Israel, who has ties to a convicted felon who is currently incarcerated, who sat in the church pews for 20 years and listened to his minister spew out black liberation theology that called for God to damn America, who went to Kenya to help his politician cousin to gain power riding a Marxist agenda while becoming allied with radical Islamic types in Kenya, and who worked for an organization who has wreaked voter fraud in multiple states, and who openly proclaims that the Constitution is flawed because 'redistribution of wealth' is not one of its cornerstones is even considered for a small town mayor let alone the President of the USA, anyone with half a brain has to sit back and reflect: "What the hell is happening to our great country? How did we sink so low? Why did a majority of Americans abandon the American ideals that made America great? Unfortunately for the 'good' people of America by the time you figure out the answers Obama will be half way there of stripping away the Constitution and installing a permanent Presidency. 6) Hollywood movies not only reflect the culture but now provide a forum for moviemakers to openly propagandize; instead of trying to entertain, speak to eternal truths, or portray individuals conflicted between the events that are shaping them and their moral values 21st c Hollywood wants to present and cater to Narcissistic coarse and vulgar fantasies and amoral, action superheroes, anti-mainstream sensibilities, and anti-American harangue that especially showcase Christians, Republicans and big business as the bogeyman holding back the coming socialist Utopia. 7)America is drifting over to embracing Plato's philosophy of 'elitist' or 'aristocratic' rule (echoed by Walter Lippmann) where only those with 'special knowledge of what is good' or privy to how a government should be properly administered are qualified to reside in government (the argument used subtly to delegitimize Sarah Palin) 8)the tendency for America to trend towards the centralization of power in the federal government while ignoring the 10th Amendment that delegates to the states power not assigned to the Feds in the Constitution 9)the apparent belief by American secular humanists that American Christians/evangelicals/right-wingers are more dangerous to their welfare than Iran acquiring the atom bomb and Islamic terrorists planning future attacks on America are 10)that socialism and anti-Christian sentiments are also being apparently embraced by the moderates in the GOP further marginalizing the conservatives in America. In all honesty I cannot wish Obama and his merry men and women and the people that voted for him a Merry Christmas; as to who I do wish a Merry Christmas it does definitely include Sarah and her family, those that read this blog and other right-wing blogs and those individuals who still remain intellectually honest and remain dedicated to the preservation of this nation from the exploitation of ignorance and the tyranny of presumptuous conduct and actions.

I have accused some in the GOP of being naive and leading sheltered lives. For those of that posture, do you believe that the arson attack on Sarah's church was not motivated because Sarah attends services at that church, that it was an entirely random act of violence? If it is a random act I will apologize.

Mountain Mama said...

Yipes! There were 10 women inside at the time the fire started!
How could this fire NOT have something to do with its being Gov. Palin's church?

Remember how upset her opponents were during the campaign, when they believed her words (that Obama had been "palling around with terrorists") were racist and "incendiary?"

techno said...

Mountain Mama: Students are fed a bunch of lies and horses**t by socialist inculcation. The average conservative does not realize this has been happening for the last 40 years. The constant pounding of anti-American hatred had to rub off and it has. It's all detailed in Rules for Radicals by Saul Alinsky. Obama is a disciple of Alinsky's. Both were resident in Chicago. Alinsky wrote of the importance of community organizers; Obama was one.

Patriot1776 said...

Wow, fire bombing a church, if there was any doubt about the consequences of this election, here is another example.

The FAR left loons are out and they are ready to attack churches, conservatives and anyone who might stand in their way against their agenda. They see Obama as the one chance to alter our nation completely and forever.

We all better be ready to STAND UP and FIGHT for our rights and our beliefs. This is just the beginning of a long struggle.

I don't see any YET in the Republican Party to battle on our ideals. Time will tell.

What they did to Sarah's church with people INSIDE is horrendous. Whoever did it should be charged with attempted murder.

What has happened to our once great nation that even in a place like Alaska, a church would be set on fire with people inside just because they believe something different?

Mountain Mama said...

Re. the fire:
1) I support "fighting" for conservatism----nonviolently, that is. Well-timed words are more persuasive with people than are lowbrow acts of violence.
2) It frankly frightens me that the MSM has TOTALLY ignored this fire. I can count on one hand how many SECONDS would transpire before the MSM would literally EXPLODE with outrage and lust for retribution against the arsonist(s), if this fire had been set at whatever church Obama "attends" nowadays.

So even the attempted MURDER of conservative Christians is unimportant to the MSM and beneath its notice? I mean, it is NOT EVEN HITTING THE RADAR AT ALL!

I am not only outraged about the arson, but against the MSM's ignoring it!!!!! How do we most effectively bring this arson to the national consciousness?---- QUICKLY!!!!!!!

Mountain Mama said...

Okay----I am happy to report that FINALLY a report was done about the fire at Palin's church by the AP (although the reporter's tone of voice was amazingly snotty. What? She doesn't give a hang?).....

After church, the Wasilla Bible Church fire was about all anyone spoke about, and with visible horror. Our pastor was also upset because the IRS is now demanding that all pastors turn in some extra documentation about their work. I am trying not to feel afraid----fear and anger feed The Evil One----but instead just to put my head down, keep my eyes and spirits up, and remember that at root, all battles are spiritual. By supporting Sarah Palin, we are agreeing to contend with her against MA-JOR forces of evil, as Techno and Patriot and Knowitall and others keep reminding us. A fire that injures no one might someday seem like a picnic, if things get far worse for believers.....

Lisa - Mother of Nine said...

I've passed the contact information on to some in my church.

Remember, God doesn't give us a spirit of fear. "Greater is He that is within us than he that is within the world." (paraphrase)

Give thanks to God for everything. Every travail is an opportunity. Praise God. Sarah is right - "what was intended for evil will in some way be used for good." And her pastor is right when he said that there are far worse things than a burned building. All of the people that were in there at the time, including two children, are safe.

Praise God for His goodness. Now we pray protection for Sarah, her family and her church. We also pray for those that set the fire. They must have a lot of anger and pain in their hearts to have done something like this. They need Jesus Christ.

The final results are now in. The McCain-Palin ticket garnered 59,925,610 votes (45.7%), only 2,115,000 less than George Bush's winning total in 2004 and 7.2% behind Obama. Objectively, if Sarah were such a bad running mate, McCain didn't do all that bad because he amassed the third highest vote total in the history of Presidential politics and won 22 states, not really the definition of a landslide.

Gov. Palin was on the record tonight. She talked about the fire. I did not know that the Wasilla Bible Church was just recently built. Sarah even talked about how she is working with the Legislature on the 2009 budget in Alaska. Which will have to be adjusted because of oil. She even talked about the Illinois Scandal. Nice to hear from you again Sarah.

Techno, thanks for your 12 adjectives, nouns, and verbs re. Obama and his staff. Sad that two apt descriptions----"organized" and "liberal"----are probably why Obama actually beat out so many other Dems and give the narcissist so much power so quickly.

"Mr. Knowitall," you sound like one treasure of a husband. Because you are compassionate and care for the aged, you are like "Fangorn," also called "Treebeard," one of the three most ancient "Shepherds of the Forest" ("Ents") in Tolkien's Trilogy. Just a thought.... (Fantasy Lit. was my undergrad emphasis. ;-> )

I sent my friends and Adam and his Mom, Julie, today a HILARIOUS email full of photos about, "Why boys need parents." If you want to give your wife a laugh, Knowitall, ask Julie to email you those photos. Oh, my sides!

However, I don't blame your wife for being sad, finding NO news all today about Palin's church. At least good old Greta van Sustern did a pretty thorough job, interviewing Sarah as well as her pastor and the local fire chief tonight about this horrific incident. (It was sweet to see Greta's normally-factual facial expression break into a shy smile when she first addressed Sarah tonight; it's easy to tell that Greta really liked Sarah and her fam.)

Look----I lived in a tiny mountain town for 9 years, and everyone really does know who drives which car, and when anyone is sick, upset, or running to The Big City to shop. So, I'm telling ya, whoever set that fire in Sarah's church KNEW there were people inside. It was a GHASTLY, EVIL act! Dear God, help us find the perpetrator(s)!

Greta, btw, hinted that she thought the fire might have been set by a gay rights supporter who was angry about Palin's church's stance re. homosexuality (based on the Bible). Palin said they just don't know yet what motivated that "sick" behavior.

Thanks, TBone and hrh, for helping her church. (And are you really of royal lineage, hrh? hee hee)

Lord God, I agree with Techno and Patriot that our nation is in deep trouble spiritually, morally, economically, educationally, and politically. For the sake of the innocent here who seek to follow You, please save our country from evil and bring us to a renewed sense of purpose and unity!

He wants Republicans to be Democrats. As once again he called Sarah polarizing. I believe that Powell should stay a Democrat and stay with his buddy Obama.

12 things which I wish I could explain better or communicate all its aspects fully but because of my limited IQ or being not as conversant as I'd like to be in a certain area of expertise prevents me from doing so: 1) white guilt 2)the fierce passion of people like Ayres and Dohrn, writers like Alinsky, preachers like Jeremiah Wright, and politicians like Obama to completely radicalize America into a New Age socialist bastion, to gut free enterprise and capitalist institutions and to stifle personal initiative and to quash inalienable rights and constitutionally guaranteed freedoms 3)the ability of the MSM, like the 8 points of a compass to come at someone abruptly and/or simultaneously from various directions in order to demonize her/him in order to attain the eventual goal of delegitimizing her/him 4)why George Herbert Walker Bush, and not Bob Dole, George W Bush, or John McCain is most responsible for the demise of Reagan conservatism: he abandoned the successful Reagan political and economic blueprint that he was privy to and witnessed as VP and set the stage for Bill Clinton to be elected 5)the comparison between Al Capone and Obama and 'Chicago politics' 6)the profound love and respect that millions have for Sarah Palin, who would be willing to take a bullet for her, despite countless number of attempts to destroy her credibility 7)why rationality does NOT decisively win out among Republicans-why it is more important for some conservative Republicans to purge moderates than to thwart and attack Obama's agenda and vice versa (Kathleen Parker) 8)the genuine goodness of American Christians prevents them from getting 'down and dirty' with Obama and from adopting a 'take no prisoners attitude' 9)the right wing of America not setting up its own 'Hollywood' production values and projects that turn out alternative mesaages to 21st c Hollywood 10)why so many people in America (Ziegler commissioned poll)are so dumb to modern political reality and American history and how this uninformed electorate allowed Obama to get elected 11)the absolute hatred that the nutroots and radical left have for religion and people of faith-the same type of hate that Hitler had for the Jews-if given truth serum and immunity from prosecution these people would fully admit they would like to see them thrown in concentration or death camps to be summarily executed and obliterated from the face of the earth-again the people of faith are just too charitable to see or understand this 12)the mentality of 'elites' and 'elitists' who are not ashamed of their superior outlook and firmly believe only they have the capability and intelligence to rule (Plato). Merry Christmas to one and all who believe in America and will fight with every ounce of their fiber and blood to preserve and defend its perfection and exceptionalism as detailed in the Founding documents of the Declaration of Independence, the original Constitution, the Bill of Rights, and its other series of Amendments.

Since this is the season where the majority of Americans take time out to watch 'Christmas' movies I would like to recommend 12 movies that were mostly made a long time ago, which the amoral producers of Hollywood today would never consider remaking (except for one), and which I believe describe the ethics of Sarah Palin or the opposition to those ethics and why Sarah has such an appeal to people who watch these movies and to which I will add my own comments: 1) It's a Wonderful Life (1946): This movie is memorable because James Stewart gives a terrific middle-America performance-he is my all time favorite actor-and the movie itself shows the value and the impact that ONE HUMAN LIFE can have on his community. If you are a big believer in government bailouts you are not a fan of this movie but if you are firm adherent to 'personal responsbility' this one is for you. 2)Ben Hur (1958): Charlton Heston gives his best performance as the manly hero of the 'Tale of Christ' movie but possessed the acting ability, deference and wisdom to understand who the true hero of the movie was and never to upstage him. For secular humanists the movie ends after the chariot race; for Christians and people of faith the movie was just getting started. By the way was it just coincidental that Charlton Heston was vilified by the left just as much as Sarah has been? 3)Mr Smith Goes to Washington (1939): Again starring James Stewart it shows a young neophyte Senator going to Washington expected to be eaten alive (so say the politicos and pundits)but instead stands up for traditional America and his own ideals and principles in opposing corruption and gets ridiculed and vilified during his filibuster of a bill by those veteran politicians who feel threatened. Sound like somebody we all know! 4)The Grapes of Wrath (1940): lower-class farmers (Okies-hicks)move across America to find work in California-despite trials and tribulations and extreme poverty never give up their belief in their personal dignity and dreams and their desire to preserve family unity-they never look to the government for a handout. Notice the reaction of the California townspeople to the Okies-does that remind of you of how the elites looked down their nose at Sarah? A Henry Fonda movie 5)Of Human Hearts (1938): another James Stewart movie centering on his preacher father moving to wilderness Ohio before the Civil War to serve the townsfolk 'with a servant's heart', and the attitude that his father has towards his flock. It later involves his mother sacrificing almost everything she has so her son can become a doctor, with Stewart not showing the proper gratitude to her as his career begins to take off. Of the movies I have ever seen this deals with more moral issues than I have ever seen in one movie: the role of a preacher in a community in relation to those he serves, the burning desire of the son to become a doctor, the conflict between the father and the son-the former only wanting his son to read the Bible-the son wanting to read the secular Harper's Monthly to better educate himself, the resentment by the son that his parents have to live in poverty, the enduring love of a boy for a horse, the elitist snobbery of the son as his father takes him to the back country to 'bring religion' to them, again his mother's sacrifice and his ingratitude, and finally saving the life of Union officer in the Civil War so he could reclaim his horse that had been sold by his mother so she could get by. I believe if you want to truly understand the simple and enduring values on which America was founded you will find them in this one movie and perhaps better understand why the radical lefties hate 'small-town values'. 6)The Gathering Storm (2002): here is the exception to the rule-a recent movie-the story of Winston Churchill in the 1930's ridiculed and ostracized for being a 'voice from the wilderness' warning Britain about the impending danger of Nazi expansion in Europe to world peace and the potential for a future world conflict and being proven right in the end. I think you could also consider Sarah 'a voice from the wilderness' as well. 7)Three Cheers for Miss Bishop (1941): starring Martha Scott, it is a story of a teacher who puts her career and love for her students over a 40 year above her own personal happiness (remains a spinster) just as Sarah puts her constituents ahead of her own personal considerations; the only difference is that the world has advanced and that women like Sarah can now have a fulfilling career and a happy personal life at the same time 8)Double Indemnity (1944): with my favorite actress Barbara Stanwyck and Fred Macmurray; the reason I include this movie is to show the amoral and wicked behavior a man and woman are capable of and the lengths they can resort to achieve their ends, including sinister scheming and cold-blooded murder. Secular humanists and Narcissists love this movie, except for the ending where the perpetrators of the crime are punished; Religious people probably find this movie despicable but I include it so that it may reveal to people of faith the prevailing, unsavory attitudes and lack of conscience that the amoral radical left possess and what they are capable of invoking in their hate for Sarah. 9)No Way Out (1950)with Sidney Poitier in his first film that tells the story of a 'white supremacist' low-class criminal who is shot and later treated by a black doctor who he hates on sight and multiplies his hostility a thousand times when he blames the doctor for the death of his wounded brother at the hospital. Racial epithets are hurled at Poitier; the hospital authorities raise doubts to Poitier's competence as a doctor;in the movie it is hinted that he is an Affirmative Action employee (before Affirmative Action as a government principle existed); the racism become more pointed and demeaning as the movie progresses. There is also a violent altercation with baseball bats between whites and blacks. For those under 40 watch this movie to better understand the concept of white guilt. 10)Bedtime for Bonzo (1951)-starring Ronald Reagan revealing his winning and optimistic personality that comes through even though he is acting: I know Reagan was constantly mocked for this movie but most people don't realize in the movie he was using the chimp for a scientific experiment to prove that environment trumps heredity in behavioral development- a position that Sarah believes in and Reagan believed in but ironically the elitists of the Beltway and the North-Eastern United States appear not to in terms of Caroline Kennedy. 11)King's Row (1941) with Ronald Reagan showing the vagaries, jealousies, and ambitions of small-town life and how devastated he was in the movie learning that a doctor cut off his legs needlessly but still by the end of the movie had the courage to presevere and make something of himself 12)All the King's Men (1949)-was remade recently; nevertheless the original shows what happens when a politician. Willie Stark engages in charismatic demagoguery to attract the support of the 'hicks' in his theme to 'soak the fat boys'; after he is elected he soon builds up a private army, keeps a little black book on opposition politicians, believes that 'man is conceived in sin and born in corruption', that 'you can't make an omelette without cracking eggs', out of evil comes good, takes over or controls the newspapers and the radio stations, has highways named after him, and in the end of a movie reel recounting his administration the narrator asks whether Willie Stark is a Messiah or a dictator. Does Willie Stark remind you of anybody?

This might seem like a strange question, but have any of you had dreams about Obama lately? I'm not suggesting that they are sexual dreams in nature; just any dreams about him?
I know a lot of people who are having various types of dreams about BO, and finally I did, too (nonsexual, I must add), so I'm wondering....
Maybe they just signal worry/concern about what BO might do as President?
(....after he's ascended from the Office of the President-Elect----you know, that office that never existed before, the one with the big, professional-looking podium sign?----oh, good grief.....)

knowitall said...

You won't get away with that. I know your tricks.

Seriously? I try not to think about him. I filter everytning through people like Rush. I cope by using denial.

Mountain Mama said...

I mentioned the nonsexual feature of my dream simply because it's been pretty dumb how his campaign used his sexuality as a plus----showing him in the ocean sans top, the Obama girl flirtatious song, etc.----yet they slammed Gov. Palin's beauty and appeal. Hypocritical!

My dream concerned BO in power, with some details I understand from my brother's work as a US Marshal. Anyway, I think it is just creepy that so many people are suddenly having all these dreams about BO in office....
Probably it's just worry/concern.

What completely creeps me out is BO's obsession with his blasted podium signs: first the ridiculous Dem presidential candidate one that mimicked his Obama signs, and now this stupid Office of the President-Elect one. No such "office" exists; it's just strange!

I'm going to dream of a White Christmas tonight, since we are getting a huge snowstorm this evening! It is sure beautiful to see the snow on the mountains turn red in the sunset (um, after the storm clouds leave, I mean.......)!

Re. Laurence's comment:
<< so now the Palins' are palling around with drug dealers. what do we really know about Sarah? >>

Pretty illogical and mean-spirited, Laurence. Consider:

1) Sarah isn't hanging around with Levi's Mom, as Obambi did/does with Bill and Bern. Ayers (private dinners, parties, public service on boards, etc.).

2) Levi's Mom has yet to be convicted of, or admit to any crime. However, the Ayers not only admit their crimes, but are PROUD of having committed them----and he's stated they wish they could have committed MORE murderous terrorist acts against innocent US citizens or soldiers.

Let's thank God for the opportunity to pray for many positive things to occur in the future for the Palins. Although Bristol hasn't married Levi yet, we can all pray that he'll avoid addictions, and that he and Bristol will become terrific parents for the child they'll have soon. We can pray that Bristol will have a safe delivery and the baby will be healthy. And we can call down blessings upon Levi and his family, so they can help his mother through this new ordeal.

We can admit our own flaws, and therefore pray for others, who also need God's guidance and forgiveness----such as Barak Obama and his family, all his Cabinet and advisors, and his past associations.

Cute one, Knowitall!

For fun, we sing this song on birthdays (to the tune of "Ta-ah ra-ah ra-ah BOOM-dee-ay...):

"Thi-is i-is yo-our BIRTH-day song,
It isn't VER-y long..."
....
....

Yep, that's it!
;->
It's just a funny little joke.

However, to celebrate Jesus' birthday, we could sing forever. I love especially Benjamin Britten's "Ceremony of Carols," as well as the Wexford Carol. My favorite new carols were composed by John Rutter, who conducts the Cambridge Singers on a splendid CD, "Christmas Day in the Morning."

I just read that Bristol is expecting a boy. A Christian family must feel particularly moved to be about to deliver a son as Christmas Day approaches; they must imagine sometimes how Mary and Joseph felt, to be isolated in a strange town, and able only to use a stable and manger for the delivery of and bed for their newborn baby.

Sarah was just voted by HUMAN EVENTS magazine as 'conservative of the year' and gave an excellent interview; especially interesting is how she says that she 'was not permitted to do more interviews' during the campaign and that it was 'scary that she had to turn her life' and her decision-making ability to people she did not know or was not familiar with how they thought about certain issues. Yes, it appears Bill Kristol was right on when he issued a clarion call in the Weekly Standard to free Sarah.

Now his sister, Carolyn, wants that Senate seat----and wouldn't you know? The progressives / liberals have begun to SMEAR her Big Time, griping that she merely devotes two hours/week to her charity work, and maligning her as "just another SARAH PALIN, Avoider of Interviews" (never mind that Palin was willing to grant media interviews, but was NOT ALLOWED to do so by McCain's campaign handlers).

So who do YOU think doesn't want Carolyn Kennedy to sit for the next four years in the US Senate, gaining national prominence and experience----and possibly considering a run in the next presidential race?

Oh, you KNOW who!

Better start praying for Carolyn's health and safety----as well as that of Obama, Biden, Pelosi, and Byrd, in that order.

Btw, while SOME government officials are parading all over the world, but all of those presidential successors are stuck here at home in the USA, possibly attending state functions with each other, let's pray there will never be a TARGETED "terrorist" attack!

(Or do they never allow the President and VP to attend the same event? Let's hope so! And Knowitall, what did you say works best for a headache?)

Thank you for your efforts. Palin/Jindal or Palin/Steele in 2012! Just imagine.
So many people that voted for Obama didn't even know what his issues were and they disagreed with him about Iraq and abortion, but didn't even know that they did. All they heard was 'change', and that was all they wanted to hear.

However, any real conservatives will never be so insane as to call Obama worse than Hitler (and certainly not McChimpy), or will we side with terrorists, dictators and 'enemy' countries over OUR President.

Conservatives must try to influence the President with sensible debate and persuasion. The main reason the Left is so vicious is because the so-called 'Progressive' ideology is bankrupt at its core, and deep, deep, deep down where logic and rational thoughts dwell, I think they know it.

I want to believe that Obama won't be as bad as some people think, but I'm quite sure, that at best, he won't be as good as most people hope he will be.

I wish the following site had come out earlier, I had some Obamabot friends finding out that they had big differences with Obama's positions:
http://www.barackobamatest.com/

Years ago I was knocked off the voting rolls here in this very Blue City when I was a Republican, on this election day I found out I was knocked off as an Un-Affiliated. Next time I should register as a Democrat, maybe I won't get knocked off then.

The biggest dangers come from the Left anyway, so my votes in this Blue State's closed primaries would be more important there.

Telling Moonbats I'm a Democrat would stop some in their tracks too, maybe making it easier to chip away at the false veneer of so-called 'progressivism'.

Let's hope he does well, at least not too badly, with the least amount of despair possible. May God Bless and help guide President Obama. And may God Bless and help save America! Keep the faith!

Thank you, USpace, for your support.

However, distinguishing which ideas you consider absurd from which ideas you honor is sometimes difficult.

That is, after stating an "absurd thought," you sometimes add sentences which are NOT absurd, to communicate ideas with which you DO agree----and yet at other times, you add even more sentences which you consider absurd, without making distinct when you are shifting your intent (that you are moving from noting what is absurd, to refuting the absurd by stating what is true).

For example, you wrote:
<<
absurd thought -
God of the Universe hates
history either way

America WILL survive
we MUST still fight for freedom
>>

In the sentences listed above, you disagree with the "absurd thought," but you agree with the thoughts (which are not punctuated) you post afterward, concerning freedom.

However, in the next example below, you disagree with the "absurd thought," and you ALSO disagree with the sentences you post afterward:

<<
absurd thought -
God of the Universe says
give up the search for truth

stop trying to show people
how the world really works
>>

By not making clear which thoughts you consider absurd, and which you consider to be true statements, you no doubt inadvertently confuse your readers.

So, how about using punctuation and words to delineate clearly which thoughts you consider absurd, and which thoughts you consider true and helpful?

For example, you could write:
<<
Absurd thought:
"The God of the Universe hates
history either way."

No! America WILL survive;
we MUST still fight for freedom!
>>

Now readers will know that you agree with the absurd thought, which you clearly confine within quotes, but you agree with the comments afterward concerning freedom.

Here's another example of what you could write:
<<
Absurd thought:
"The God of the Universe says, 'Give up the search for truth! Stop trying to show people
how the world really works!'"

In the sentences above, you clearly show that you disagree with BOTH sentences ("Give up..." and "Stop trying...").

Beyond using quotation marks, other methods of delineating the absurd from the honored thoughts are at your disposal, of course. The point is to make the distinction clear.

As for using "The God of the Universe," I cannot determine if you consider God as an absurdity, too----but I hope not! God is the Author of Logic, and has given us the gift of reason!

God of the Universe says
give up the search for truth

Hi Mountain Mama. I don't think that Sarah would be slotted VP for Jindal. I think that Sarah will only run for President. Sarah will not run at the bottom of the ticket again.

Mountain Mama said...

Hey, TBone!

Hmm... Well, certainly Sarah will run for the presidential slot; no one can predict if she'll successfully win it over Jindal or other candidates.

Many circumstances will occur between now and then that will sway the voters' opinions for or against various candidates. Our prayer is that America's conservatives (genuine, not fake ones) will pull together to nominate a conservative to the Republican ticket, rather than split their support among various candidates and end up with a weak maverick, as we did with McCain.

Thankfully, Sarah Palin is both maverick AND conservative!
;->
I think Jindal will be a formidable candidate----and he is extremely articulate, an ardent believer, and not Caucasian. Let's hope he's also authentically moral and compassionate!

Sarah is smart enough, if she doesn't win the other, to take the VP slot if she's offered it. In that case, we Palinistas will all give thanks that she's still on the ticket, right?!

(I don't think Michael Steele would beat her for the Presidential slot; he's neat, but not as well known.)

Sarah news:

USA Today's poll of the most admired ladies in America. Hillary has been #1 for 13 of the last 16 years:

What woman living today do you admire most?

1. Hillary Clinton 20%
2. Sarah Palin 11%
3. Oprah Winfrey 8%
4. Condoleezza Rice 7%
5. Michelle Obama 3%

Mountain Mama said...

Wow.... I had no idea that so many people admire Hillary----but I'm glad that Sarah Palin is second!
O-trauma will no doubt rise in the polls, if they can muzzle her ranting. She'll probably watch her words more, knowing that Obama dumps whoever makes him look badly (pastors, realtors, friends who are unrepentant confessed terrorists, etc)..
I bet Condi can't wait to return to private life. Meanwhile, I pray she FAILS at persuading Israel to give up strategic land, supposedly in return for "peace." (The recent barrage of bombs rocketing into Israel despite a previous "agreement" demonstrates the radical Islamists' actual view: they don't mean to keep promised agreements with Jews).

Mountain Mama,

It is interesting that 3 of the top 5 admired ladies are black.

Four of the 5 are in government.

I don't think anyone will put the wool over the eyes of Israel.

Mountain Mama, thank you so very much for your critique and analysis of my work. I really appreciate hearing how you (and some others probably too) think about them.

First of all, they are all just absurd thoughts. I don't use punctuation marks, except the '-'. If I want to emphasize something I use CAPS.

I'm also constrained by how many syllables I can use; 17 or less in a senryu, and 31 or less in a tanka.

Quotation marks could never be used anyways because 'God' didn't 'say' these things. It's just an 'absurd thought' that God might say a certain thing or feel a certain way.

You're right, I often contradict myself, on purpose. That adds to the absurdity, and gives people more to think about. Often just the first 3 lines are absurd and the last 2 lines aren't; or the first 3 lines aren't absurd, but the last 2 lines make it absurd.

And no, I don't think the idea of God is absurd, not at all. I totally agree with you.

The first one I ever wrote was:

absurd thought -
God of the Universe is
MAD at Gays on Earth

I hope you get my free ebooks, the URLs I add are just afterthoughts; to add another thought and/or dimension to the 'piece', as well as to help fill out the page. Also, it's often to give people somewhere else to go online to learn more about the subject. Sometimes it's only a word association.

God bless you, stay safe! I hope you had a nice Christmas, and have a very Happy New Year too. Have fun!
.
MERRY HOLIDAYS
we all have our special ones
drink responsibly

world economy depends
on massive celebrations

.
absurd thought -
God of the Universe says
outlaw Christmas

don't upset atheists
makes them question their faith

.
absurd thought -
God of the Universe hates
Christmas celebrations

leads to Muslim Apostates
who then get death threats

.
for the holidays
we must get together
- before they are over

ancient feelings
days will get longer again

Here are 12 more random thoughts to take you up to the New Year that show how Americans and the world now boast values in an 'upside down' fashion or support the 'flip side' in comparison with past generations:

1)Sarah Palin is is vilified for bringing a child into the world.

2)The NE Patriots finished the NFL regular season with a record of 11-5 and the SD Chargers finished with a reocrd of 8-8, the Arizona Cardinals with a record of 9-7, the Philadephia Eagles with a record of 9-6-1 and the Minnesota Vikings with a record of 10-6; the latter 4 teams are going to the playoffs; the Patriots aren't.

3)It was reported by pollsters after the election that 20% of 'conservatives' voted for Obama with some pundits believing this fact alone turned the election in Obama's favor. Either these people really aren't 'conservatives' or 'radical socialist' now equates to 'conservative; in the 21st c.

4)How scientists or psychiatrists base their current viewpoints on a consensus of its members or how the majority of it membership vote on an issue rather than employing the scientific method to make their case.

5)An 'aristocratic' housewife and a complete political novice (Caroline Kennedy) who has never held a political office, according to Kathleen Parker, is more qualified to hold national office than a Governor of a State (Sarah Palin).

6)"That to favor 'border security' is now considered a hate crime.

7)Hollywood now reflects the socialist culture and secular humanist values that it wants to impose on America rather than reflecting the past historical culture and values and present culture and values as it is widespread amongst a vast array of people who have different values and beliefs.

8)For the American voter it used to be important to know what a candidate's religious convictions were, who their past associations were with and what experience they had to run a government or enterprise. With Obama, we all know that Jeremiah Wright and his support for Black Liberation Theology that says that Jesus tells us that our 'mission is to eradicate poverty and to bring freedom and liberation for the oppressed (in America). that Obama did 'pal around with unrepentant former terrorists, that he was good friends with a man who called for the destruction of Israel and that he supported his cousin in bringing Marxist philosophy to the government of Kenya, and that many of his other 'pals' from Chicago including Governor Blago and Rezko have questionable resumes, and that Obama has never run anything is the best qualified to be President of the USA.

9)The Supreme Court supposedly is sworn to protect and defend the Constitution but will not rule on whether Obama is a natural-born citizen of the USA or tell us from the mountain what a natural-born citizen is to clarify the issue but is willing to proclaim that a woman has a right to have an abortion which is not found in the Constitution.

10)If you are a goon hockey player that tries to injure an opponent you get suspended for a number of games and then resume your career but if you make a joke about an ex-girlfriend you lose your livelihood for at least a year and have to attend counselling sessions-protecting a woman's virtue is now more important to the NHL than preventing serious injuries or maybe deaths.

11)It was understood in the past 200 years that if you belonged to a political party you spent most of your waking hours attacking the other party (Democrats)than criticizing your own party or its members. Clearly John McCain does not see the world in this fashion.

12)We have little to fear from Islam, only from Christianity and Judaism say the leftists and nutroots.

10 random thoughts on Sarah and other subjects:

1)I was recently listening to Colin Cowherd on ESPN talking about how Jason Garrett was the 'hot commodity'at the beginning of 2008 to fill a head coaching vacancy; for various reasons Garrett chose not to leave Dallas as an offensive coordinator; at the beginning of 2009 his name is not brought up very often-Dallas had a poor season. Colin said, "You have to strike when the iron is hot. Most people don't even get that opportunity. It can go away quickly." Implied in that statement is when your time has come you have to walk through that door or risk losing it forever. For those of you who recommend that Sarah Palin wait until 2016 or 2020 beware the sentiments of Colin Cowherd.

2)Do you notice that Sarah is gradually revealing the truth behind her 'handling' by the McCain campaign. Lately she hinted that she did not want to do the interviews with Gibson and Couric early in the campaign and that her answers were tightly scripted and thus not a product of her own thoughts or ideas-thus sounding stupid and convoluted. Millions of Sarah's supporters already knew this; I'm glad she is confirming it now.

3)Does anybody think that John McCain reminds you of Wade Phillips, the head coach of the Dallas Cowboys or Dick Jauron, the head coach of the Buffalo Bills-all nice guys with 'experience' but all big-time losers.

4)I wonder if the 20% of conservatives who voted for Obama had anything in common with the 15-20% of Tories who supported King George during the Revolution.
The latter believed in an aristocracy of title and privilege, the former, by their vote, believe in an aristocracy of education, elitist social networks, and wealth.

5)Why would anybody pay anything for photos of Bristol Palin's baby except to exploit Sarah Palin and diminish her chances for 2012?

6) U.S. confirmed deaths in Iraq are 4221 over a 5.9 yr period which is remarkable by any historical standard; instead of touting the superiority of modern warfare and America's adoption of it George Bush and the GOP did nothing meaningful to dispute the Democrats template that war is evil, perpetrated by wicked warmongers and war profiteers and no death in the Iraq war could be justified. In retrospect how much worse could the GOP have done if it touted the old standby of occasionally having to lay your life on the line to defend freedom.

7)Not that I am softening on Obama, but why is there criticism of him playing golf in Hawaii when he is not even President yet? Remember there is no such position as President-elect and the Senate is not in session now.

8)The most irritating statement made by athletes is "I'd like to be back with the team, but it's business." They act like if they sign with a new team that it is not their fault or with their blessing or that they had no part in doing it. I call it detachment extraordinaire.

9)How can a 45 year old PGA golfer be the money leader in 2008 and the Fedex Cup winner over players who are in their late 20's and 30's and presumably in their prime?

10)How does a golfer (Tiger Woods) win a major championship, when he hasn't played 18 holes in 2 months, is not physically in peak shape, is basically operating on one leg and is playing in excruciating pain and has to walk 91 holes in the process? Tiger Woods represents the greatest in America before Obama in all its aspects: rugged individualism, bold ventures, and unflinching courage.

Happy New Year!

I would really, really like to know if anyone can find anyone alive with that name in Europe. (NOT the same as Von Treuenfels. The handful of Treuenfels' in the United States are all related - two cousins and their immediate family were able to get our of Germany in 1936.)

I don't know if names can get much rarer than this one. The question is if any of the remaining family survived the Holocaust.

Mountain Mama - I can't remember any dreams about Obama. I think, like Knowitall said, I try to forget this is happening. I ignore every news story about Obama. Then I put my head back under the covers.

Lisa - Mother of Nine said...

Mountain Mama and Techno - I hadn't heard anything about Levi's mother until I just read it here. (albiet, I haven't had time to do anything other than skim Foxnews.com of late)

Still, I wouldn't worry about it. I know others might make hay of it. But from my perspective, I am also a Christian mother of a daughter who got into a questionable relationship and has had a child.

I know that I did my best to teach her growing up. We even lived on a Bible college campus for seven years, and she heard all the Christian courtship teachings again and again and again.

I also limited television. In fact, on campus we couldn't even get regualr stations. We had no cable or satellite, and so just watched videos. Which was great because I could choose what we watched and I tried my best to weed out sexual content.

But as hard as we all try to raise our kids a certain way, we are up against a monster in society.

Our kids go to friends homes and spend the night watching whatever their parents choose. They listen to awful music on radio or that they download from whatever on the internet. They see garbage in ads, and more. You can try to pick good videos, but more and more they are hard to find. Even the most innocent of new movies are filled with landmines that you have to fast forward through. You can't get away from it.

Our cluture is just full of garbage and we parents are fighting against Goliath.

I don't hold Bristol's decisions against Sarah. I don't even hold them against Bristol or Levi.

I love my daughter and my grandchild. We cope with what is in front of us. I'm not hot about her now husband, but I do treat him well and do what I can to help, because that's what we do.
And I try to teach them all, from this point in whatever subtle, non-pushy ways I can, what it means to love and honor the Lord.

The reason I don't worry about it with Sarah is because there are so many moms just like me in the Christian and conservative world. There isn't a church group in America that doesn't have at least one Bristol and/or Levi, if not several. It's not us that are going to make an issue about Bristol and Levi. We can all relate to Sarah and the difficulties of raising kids.

It's only the liberals - the very same people that don't even believe that there is any such thing as sexual immorality - that will make mockery of it.

Here is the Palin family's press statement about the birth of Tripp:
<<
Governor Sarah Palin Welcomes Her First Grandchild

December 31, 2008, Anchorage, Alaska – Governor Sarah Palin has welcomed her first grandchild, Tripp Easton Mitchell Johnston, born to Bristol Palin and Levi Johnston on December 27.

“We are over the moon with the arrival of this healthy, beautiful baby,” Governor Palin said. “The road ahead for this young couple will not be easy, but nothing worthwhile is ever easy. Bristol and Levi are committed to accomplish what millions of other young parents have accomplished, to provide a loving and secure environment for their child. They are both hard workers, they’re very strong, and have faith they’ve made the right decision in setting aside their own interests to make this child their highest priority.”

Palin added, “When Bristol and Levi first told us the shocking news that she was pregnant, to be honest, we all at first looked at the situation with some fear and a bit of despair. Isn’t it just like God to turn those circumstances into such an amazing, joyful blessing when you ask Him to help you through?”

Bristol Palin said she “obviously discourages” teen pregnancy and knows that plans she previously made for herself will now forever be changed. “Teenagers need to prevent pregnancy to begin with – this isn’t ideal. But I’m fortunate to have a supportive family which is dealing with this together. Tripp is so perfectly precious; we love him with all our hearts. I can’t imagine life without him now.”

Bristol begins her final semester of high school next week where she’ll get her last credit needed to graduate. She looks forward to continuing her record of good grades and high achievement. Levi is continuing his online high school work in addition to working as an electrical apprentice on the North Slope.

Bill McAllister, the governor’s office communications director, adds: "The governor's office previously declined to comment to honor the family's wishes that the event remain as private as possible. However, the high volume of press inquiries, along with some erroneous information that was published, prompted the governor to make a statement.
>>

Now, if the world could just leave Bristol, Levi, and Tripp alone.....

Never gonna happen.

Hi Techno and all Palin fans. The Johnston's right now maybe a Palin weakness. Sarah will survive this. She made it through Troopergate. We just got to believe. Dear Friends of Sarah,

Did you catch Greta's program on Fox last night? The remarkable John Ziegler, hero and patriot, delivered an eloquent testimony about our Sarah on the occasion of his trip to Wasilla to interview the Governor for his forthcoming piece on media malfeasance in re Obamae (genitive case!!). Here are some of Mr. Ziegler's words (quote close to exact, but maybe not verbatim): "...when you go to the family home, when you see how authentic, how genuine, how real, how sincere, how honest, how courageous, this woman is, in the face of the worst case of media malpractice in the history of this country; for a character assassination to occur against this woman simply for the purposes of getting Barack Obama elected is a travesty that every American ought to be concerned about." What eloquence, what a splendid, Ciceronian, Churchillian crescendo of anaphora!!! Friends, I know that I am preaching to the choir, but this is a lady and a cause to fight for and to die for, if necessary. I know, personally, that I would literally take a bullet, nay a hundred bullets, for Sarah Palin. The time has come to draw the sword...and to throw away the sheath!! Let me share with you a personal experience of mine of the last few days. I sent Sarah a Christmas card, with a small financial gift. She took the time to send me a personal, hand-written thank-you note!! With all of her cares, all of her responsibilities, all of her concerns, she took the time to write a note to me, a "nobody"!!!!!! It goes without saying that this note is perhaps now my most prized physical possession in this world. God has given us this Christ-like lady for this time, someone who meets hatred, and lies, and filth, and Satanic bile with courage, with grace, with beauty...with LOVE.
Let us all pray for her and fight for her and for the country she incarnates and embodies. This will be a true ecumenical effort: I, the Pacellian (Pope Pius XII) Catholic with my Latin prayers; you, esteemed friend and comrade-in-arms Adam, with your deathless Hebrew prayers; you, dear Anglican/Episcopalian and Evangelical friends with the eloquent English of the King James Version or other subsequent worthy versions of Holy Writ...let us all pray in our variegated tongues for this beautiful cause. I think that God gives the world a person like Sarah Palin once in a century or two. It is now our task to give our all for her and for the land she and we love so much.

Amici mei carissimi, benedicat vos Deus...semper!!

The background is about greatness. You will never see a picture of a great baseball player with a bad swing. When you see a picture of a great runner, both feet are off the ground. Their feet never touch the ground, it seems.
I read a comment, I believe by a photographer, that you never see a bad picture of Sarah Palin. You always see bad pictures of people. Goodness knows there are countless people in Hollywood who would like to take a few photos back.
You don't see a bad picture of Sarah.
Since that was pointed out to me, I have looked at her pictures and it seems, to me to be correct.
That is a mark of a person with great beauty.

Hi, everyone!

Thanks, TBone, for the link to another Sarah blogspot. I'll check it soon. Btw, is Bob Poe a danger to Sarah's staying the Alaskan governor?

Techno, do you think Sarah helped Levi get his North Slope job? I wish he hadn't quit it.

Lisa, you're a sweetie to relate the story of your own daughter, in order to encourage people to be fairer about Sarah's daughter, Bristol. Once again, we see here the MSM's hatred of anything pro-family or pro-life....which is why they hate Sarah so much, too.

I also thank you and Knowitall/
Gelston for posting the links to the Ziegler interview of Sarah, which is TERRIFIC!
GO WATCH the clip, everyone! It's well worth the 9+ minutes.

Brianus, did you notice that you'll have a contender for Fave-Rave Fan of Sarah? Ziegler says he'll fight to rescue her from the ridiculous, false image the MSM keeps publishing about her, too.

(And remember, Brianus: many Evangelicals prize Latin, too!

Finally, Lisa, I think at least four posters moderate this blogspot. Thus, when there aren't many new comments, that means few people are posting, sadly.

I miss SO many of the posters from the election days----Dr. Vicki, wk4christ, not to mention Supreme Palinista Ted, etc.----but hopefully they're blogging somewhere on behalf of fairness for Sarah Palin.
sigh......

Hi Mountain Mama. I read on the ADN website that pollster Ivan Moore said that Bob Poe is a solid candidate. He also said if the election were held today his chances of winning are pretty minimal. Poe will also get a challenge from other Democrats. Maybe Ethan Berkowitz who almost beat Don Young in the House this fall. As long as Sarah keeps her favorables above 53% she wont lose reelection.
The last 3 polls out of Alaska since Nov election have had Sarah in the 60-64% favorable ratings. Alaska is still a red state where Obama got only 38% in November where he got 52% nationally.

Hi Mountain Mama and all Palinista's, there are some great Sarah interviews on Adam's new blog the Brickyard. If you didn't see them I thought you might want to look at them.

Mountain Mama said...

Yes, TBone----the link Adam posted at Brickyard is the same that Knowitall/Gelston and Lisa posted here. It is WONDERFUL to hear Sarah's clear, sweet voice telling the TRUTH again....

What "progressives" often fail to notice is that Sarah Palin has exactly the same mild temperament that Obambi reportedly has. She doesn't lose her temper, even when reporters or pundits are blatantly RUDE to her.

There's only one time I've ever seen Sarah get a tidge upset visibly. Do you, Palinistas, remember when that occurred? It was when some jerk at a rally somewhere hurled some rude comment at Gov. Palin----something that included a slam against the troops in some way----and Palin responded quickly by noting that it's our troops who fight to give such loud-mouth jerks the right to make stupid comments, to have free speech. She then turned to the podium, gave her head a little shake, and pursed her lips just a tidge.

Now, given that her own son is in danger in Iraq, her showing only a bit of anger means she truly has a mild temperament!

We need her cool conservative head in the White House, folks.... KEEP PRAYING!
You betcha!
;->

Mountain Mama said...

Um.....
I just re-read my comments (should have done so PRIOR to posting, I realize.... rats!), and should immediately add:

Palin did NOT call anyone a loud-mouth or a jerk. Those are MY very-appropriate terms for them. I obviously do NOT have her mild temperament!

Oh----and I love the way she says on this newest interview that it's her "Mama Grizzly rising" when people slam her family and children. RIGHT ON, Sarah!!!!!!

It is being reported on another Palin blog that the Anchorage Daily News dispatched investigative reporter Lisa Demer to investigate the left's looney conspiracy that Sarah Palin is not Trigg's mom. Sarah Palin fought back at the media yesterday including the Anchorage Daily News. Go on Sarah Palin's Governor of Alaksa website for more details.
Is the reason the left continue's to assault Sarah with endless smears because she is pro-life and pro-family. The Anchorage Daily News is starting to get just as bad as any media outlet right now.

Mountain Mama said...

The ADN and other media ARE using Sarah Palin to gain readers and income! She is absolutely correct to state that!
And yes, the "progressives" detest anyone who is pro-life and pro-traditional-family----especially beautiful women with loving children and attentive, studly husbands. (Remind you of anyone in particular?)
Oh----and I should add that Sarah would be The FIRST to note that it's INNER beauty (ie. good character) that matters most. Not to lecture any of you-all, of course....

{{{Is the reason the left continue's to assault Sarah with endless smears because she is pro-life and pro-family. The Anchorage Daily News is starting to get just as bad as any media outlet right now.}}}

of course that's part of the reason.. i don't know the faith of everyone here but i know for Christians we understand the reality of a spiritual war that goes on all around us at all times.. the enemy is at war with anything related to God even to this day. He doesn't attack his friends, the permissive left that push antiGod agendas.. he goes after those that hold to the values of God. Pro- life, pro- family, pro-God are the base of all attacks. She is a threat to him because of what she stands for.. someone like her in office would completely disrupt his plans to push our country further from God. I still don't understand why God didn't make sure sarah was elected.. it just seemed like it was something He would do. But i don't know His plans for the future. Sadly it's quite possible that at this time our country doesn't deserve that leader that He intended for us to have. Just like the ancient Israelites that, because of their sins against God, were allowed by Him to have bad leaders to rise up and their enemies to overtake them. But they always returned to God and that's when things changed for the better. It can be quite hard for God to get the attention of people in this fast paced world we live in. Sometimes He has to reach down and shake the very foundations of our land for that to happen. It appears this is what is happening. Let's hope the majority will return to Godly values, the way we started, the way we were and are meant to be.. and the enemy will then be put to shame.. something that in the end will happen anyway.

Hi was wondering what everyone here thinks about Obama's 1 trillion dollar stimulus package idea? It seems that last years stimulus package did not work at all so Obama thinks we need another. Next years deficit is going to be a disaster. It seems that Obama thinks we can spend our way out of the recession. Blagovich got impeached today also.

Brianus Berkleianus, could not agree with you more on your last post! Beautiful message! Scott, you are correct about the spiritual warfare that goes about unseen. The Clash of Theological and Political World views happened at the St. Paul's Excel Energy Center when Senator Barak Obama gave his Pre-Convention acceptance Speech and Gov. Palin gave her Convention Speech.

I hope and pray that this court case that is Coming up between Coleman vs. Franken and Left Leaning Secretary of State Mark Richie, would expose the Banana Republic type vote counting, "Found Votes". It would be nice to see Coleman win, but the full exposure of the Court case in the National media is what is needed.

Brianus Berkleianus said...

Thanks, Scott, that was beautiful and true!!!

Scott: your comments are true and beautifully written. For years, many believers have been praying for a revival of faith to recur in these United States. And the only reason I can discern for why God would allow Obama and the Machine who promoted his candidacy to win the election is that their leftwing agenda will eventually drive Americans to their knees, praying for this country somehow to survive.

TBone, I agree that more bail-out packages will only further bankrupt our nation. Ri-ight, the porn industry needs a bail-out, too. What's next, after hitting bottom with that?!

Gelston, I don't think Webster is correct in several regards, but his ideas certainly warrant careful watching! Ack! We ARE bombing Pakistan, as he said.

YES, M.Minnesota, I can't wait to learn how the Dems justify tossing out all those hundreds of absentee votes there! Scary! (Just as rotten as their blocking votes from the veterans for the national elections in 2004 and earlier.)

I am praying that Americans will wake up, grow up, and screw up their courage to take ON the dark forces that are trying to tear this country apart.

Hey Everyone,
Just checking in after the New Year. Adam's been busy working, house hunting, job hunting, and starting the new blog...www.the-brickyard.blogspot.com. He's hoping to be able to flex his political analysis muscles on more than one subject. He's getting the visits, but he sure could use the chatter.
Gelston, I know it's hard to comment there. I have a hard time getting past "Wow..how did you know this!?" and "What/Huh?! I didn't know that". But I'm not a politco like the rest of y'all. So if you can keep up with Adam's brain level, please, comment!

As for what Adam will do with this site and all the loved ones here... I know it's under examination. I'll try to use my "influence" and get him to come over and comment at least so you have some contact from him. In the mean time, why don't y'all email him (palinforvp@gmail.com) with your thoughts and suggestions.

Keep Adam in your thoughts and prayers; so many new and exciting and challenging)things are happening in his life.

Many Thanks and Blessings to you all,

Julie

I have really appreciated the comments of late. I especially appreciated Brianus and Scott's comments on the spiritual reality of things right now. It's good to know all of you.
Adam's new site is great. He really has a mind for politics.

Thanks for the note, Julie. I want to get over the Brickyard more because I do know that Adam is posting some really good information there. I just don't get much time to sit down and read right now. So I end up dropping in here for a few minutes and that's about it. You know how us humans are once we get comfortable...

Scott, I am going to add to the chorus. I admire your courage for pointing out the spiritual warfare. I agree that this is a huge factor in why Sarah has been attacked so hard. The way that the MSM, Hollywood and other elites came at her was rabid. I just haven't had the courage to bluntly call it spiritual to others, who might not be of the same faith.

I enjoyed Brianus' comments as well.

I enjoyed reading all the notes from yesterday! Interesting stuff!

MiJuBri Farms, yes, will keep Adam in thought and prayer. It's great to visit the Brickyard Site and see all of the international political figures.

Totally different subject....this evening on Fox News I saw a short mention that President-Elect Obama will be hosting a dinner event in honor of John Mccain. I have no qualms about honoring a Vet especially a P.O.W. . Other participants honoring Mccain are Joe Biden and Colin Powell. Obama Honoring Mccain? After he allowed (at least he did not say anything) an offical Obama Campain Commercial say "He (Mccain) dosn't use a computer." The short news mention did not mention anyone else of honoring Mccain at the upcoming event. It just seemed strange. I don't think Obama, Biden or Powell will use the Gov. Palin line "There is only one man in this race who has actually fought for you." at the upcoming event

This is a venue where we've all made friends. Adam and I have talked about that and he doesn't want to take that away. So... what should we do? But I love coming here just to check in on friends.

I had to read you post about the letter from Gov Palin 2 or 3 times to totally get it.

You are an amazing intellect. Your students and your university are blessed to have you.
I would love to see the speech you would write for Sarah's inauguration.

Please tell me, brianus, as a Cal Bear professor, what do you think of her intellect? What do you see that you think the MSM is missing?

#####
Julie (and Adam) I do have thoughts for you. I need to develop them a wee bit more.

Gelston said...

ok....
There is one step forward.

I have started a group on teamsarah with the catchy name of "Adam Brickley's team"

I have been looking for people from this site who have signed up on teamsarah. There are about 10 to 15 people, I think.
Interestingly, Adam Brickley and Julie Brickley have signed up. They are modestly listed with little fanfare. (And almost no friends :<((( )

If Adam hates the idea, I will remove it.
The purpose is to support Sarah. The second purpose is to support Adam and the Brickyard.

I wrote teamsarah to point out to them that there is a celebrety on their site. No, not you Mountain Mama, Adam. I told them that I hoped they would do a feature on Adam. If they don't respond to my email, I may ask y'all to write, too.

This is "shameless self promotion".
The purpose is to get attention for free.

I hope that helps a little, Julie.

Lisa - Mother of Nine said...

Okay. I did sign up for Team Sarah some time back. I'll drop in to Gelston's group later today. As I said, I can't keep my eye on too many sites, (and actually haven't been back to Team Sarah in weeks) so if we do end up leaving here for good, it will be sad, but...maybe necessary.

Mountain Mama said...

Um.... never have been interested in being a celebrity; to avoid such silliness, I wrote my syndicated column under a penname.

The penname also helped to prevent theft of my identity. In that regard, I dislike Team Sarah's need to know someone's birth date in order to sign up as a member. With all the identity theft these days, that requirement seems at best unwise, if not ridiculous.

I suppose I could lie about my birthdate there----but I hate lying.

I'm glad, though, that you set up the group there, Gelston. You are always very thoughtful.

G-d bless you all!

Brianus Berkleianus said...

Hi, Gelston/Knowitall,

Thanks so much for your generous remarks!! BTW, I do not know if you are a Huskie, a Cougar, or neither, but I apologize (well, not really!!) for the Bears' triple-overtime win over the Huskies the other day!!!)

It would be the dream of my lifetime to have the honor of composing Sarah's inaugural address!! I may, literally, start working on it soon, and then send it to her. Competition: the American way!! Let the best speech win. I am willing to put my efforts up against anything anyone else, any other speech writers, may compose. I may write it in Ciceronian Latin first, then translate it into English, into Sarah's BEAUTIFUL (take that, MSM!!) English!!!! It would be a labor of love.

Our Sarah's intellect...how best to answer this? What is the etymology of "intellect"? From Latin intellegere, in turn from intus/inter+legere, I think, i.e., "to read within," or "to see into." Sarah has the marvelous capacity, I think, to see beyond surface phenomena, to "read within," "to see into" the heart of issues...and to the heart of PEOPLE!!! As I said in a post of a few weeks ago, she may not have the "intellect" of subtle Greek philosopher, but she is a hell (pardon the expression) of a lot smarter than 99% of the population of this country, I think. HOWEVER, beyond mere intellect, it is her HEART that I love. This is where she has, in my humble opinion, no parallel. Her capacity to feel, to sympathize, to understand...her spirit, her courage, her raw guts, are what make her an exceptional human being...I'll just say it, at the risk of looking foolish and overly sentimental: these qualities, I think, are what show her to be a gift of the good Lord to our benighted nation in these dark years. I still can't believe that she sent me, Mr. Nobody, TWO, yes it was two, hand-written notes in recent days.

Anyway, dear friend, I do not know if this is an adequate response to your inquiries...these were just the thoughts, the musings, of a Berkleian on an anomalous warm winter (what an oxymoron!) evening in that "bluest" of cities, Berkeley, California, that is home to at least one devoted "Palinista"!!!

God bless you and yours,

Brianus

Gelston said...

Hi, Gelston,

Thanks for your kind and generous remarks!

What a time this is, as we stand poised between sadness, if not quasi-despair, with Obama's impending inauguration, and bright, vibrant hopes for the future with Sarah. As always, it is "the best of times; the worst of times"!!!!

I want to keep this post brief, but I'd like to share something briefly with you and with any others who may happen to peruse this post. Whenever I think of Sarah, she just lights up my day. Thinking about her melts away fears, doubts, and dread. Various tasks and duties I face become easier because of her. She engenders a simple, pure JOY and happiness. I know that, to those who do not comprehend and understand, this will appear maudlin, foolish, and simplistic; those who do perceive will say "right on; that is EXACTLY how I feel"!!

BTW, now that all of the old AFL teams have been eliminated from the football playoffs, this Oakland Raiders and American Football League fan from way back really doesn't give much of a hoot who goes to and wins the Super Bowl!!!

Anyway, Sarah is one of a kind. I blink each day and ask myself if this is all a lovely dream, but one with no substance. No, no, no, Sarah is quite REAL, she and all she stands for, incarnates and embodies. We will see her as our President someday...of this I am sure!!!

May the good Lord bless all who may read this post from a native of Berkeley, California who stands for Our Sarah!!!

I have been a contributor to this blog since August 29th. I know that I have been absent for some time spending it mostly at Hot Air and Free Republic. But I have uncovered a quote (by way of another poster) that quite frankly shocked me and apparently did not merit enough importance to the McCain campaign to air it in public, or permit Sarah to speak to it. Here is the quote:

I brought up the subject of what's going to happen after we take over the government. We, we become responsible, then, for administrating, you know 250 million people.

And there was no answers. no one had given any thought to economics; how are you going to clothe and feed these people.

The only thing that I could get, was that they expected that the Cubans and the North Vietnamese and Chinese and the Russians would all want to occupy different portions of the United States.

They also believed that their immediate responsibility would be to protect against what they called the counter-revolution. And they felt that this counter-revolution could best be guarded against by creating and establishing re-education centers in the southwest, where we would take all the people who needed to be re-educated into the new way of thinking and teach them...how things were going to be.

I asked, well, what's going to happen to those people that we can't re-educate; that are die-hard capitalists. And the reply was that they'd have to be eliminated. And when I pursued this further, they estimated that they would have to eliminate 25 million people in these re-education centers. And when I say eliminate, I mean kill 25 million people.

I want you to imagine sitting in a room with 25 people, most of which have graduate degrees from Columbia and other well known educational centers, and hear them figuring out the logistics for the elimination of 25 million people.

Bill Ayres and others, as recounted by Larry Grathwohl, former member (undercover agent) of the Weather Underground

NB:Obama said that 'he (Ayres) was just a guy in the neighborhood'. My question to all of you: "Would you want Ayres in your neighborhood?"

Mountain Mama said...

Ah, so the southwest USA would become the Siberian gulag area, then.... Such brilliant communist planning, again!

Once again we see the logical end of leftwing politics: control and "reeducation" of the masses, NOT the "tolerance" and "diversity" that supposedly the leftwing supports. What LIARS!

Thank you for sharing this quote, Techno. SCAR-Y!---because at this point we just don't know whether Obama agrees with Ayers!

(Btw, how sad if those communists were correct, that only 1/10 the US population would rebel against a communist take-over!)

But you make a good point, as usual, Gelston: Laurence SHOULD be ashamed of some of the mean things he's written about Gov. Palin.

On another topic:
Did anyone catch Sarah Palin on the Glenn Beck show? Here, it was preempted by the news coverage of the jet that went into the Hudson River in the NY City area. (We're relieved no one evidently was hurt!)

If his show was entirely cut, that would be SUCH a disappointment to Glenn, after having prepared for months to launch his show----not to mention Gov. Palin's schedule is packed nowadays, so it might prove difficult to reschedule her appearance tomorrow, for his actual start-up.

Hi, All,

There is a fairly decent article in "People" magazine about Bristol's new child. It is entitled "Family First." This is likely derived from McCain's "Country First" campaign theme. However, notice what happens if we simply transpose the two words: "Family First" becomes "First Family"!!! I wonder if the editors realized this?!?

Anyway, let us continue to fight for America, for Sarah, and for
"Sarah America." My late father was a distinguished high-school pugilist. Sometimes, in my blacker moods, I am tempted to want to deal with Sarah's enemies (including "conservative" traitors) with the fists...however, far better to follow her sterling example, and to meet hatred with LOVE. She is a Gospel example for us all. SARAH 2012!!!

You know, I'm glad somebody brought this up:

"1)I was recently listening to Colin Cowherd on ESPN talking about how Jason Garrett was the 'hot commodity'at the beginning of 2008 to fill a head coaching vacancy; for various reasons Garrett chose not to leave Dallas as an offensive coordinator; at the beginning of 2009 his name is not brought up very often-Dallas had a poor season. Colin said, "You have to strike when the iron is hot. Most people don't even get that opportunity. It can go away quickly." Implied in that statement is when your time has come you have to walk through that door or risk losing it forever. For those of you who recommend that Sarah Palin wait until 2016 or 2020 beware the sentiments of Colin Cowherd."

Strike while the iron's hot. With the rash of young NFL and college coaches, the latest being Raheem Morris (32, same as me:)) of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, it rings true. Barry, to his credit, probably had the same thought after the 2004 DNC.

(His problem is his inability to see the pack of corrupt losers for who/what they are, like (other than what) Sarah did. Then again, I didn't see Mr. Fight-the-smears exactly objecting to the smears against Jack Ryan, regardless of what his public stance was at the time.)

Back to striking while the iron's hot, what would have happened if Ronnie, instead of building on Rendezvous With Destiny had just gone away for about six years? We'd have not only never had Morning in America but we probably also would have had a revolt at some point because of disgust and hate towards politics and government in general. Sarah wouldn't have happened, and neither would Barry even.

Instead, you'd have a whole country full of Bill Ayers', and this time I can't say that I'd be opposed to it. But thankfully, this isn't the case.

This is the lesson to be learned.

Tbone said...

Hi 12thMan. I agree with alot of your points on striking while the iron is hot regarding Gov. Palin. Here are some of my reasons.
1.Sarah is the hottest name in the Republican Party right now. that could change by 2016 or 2020. Things change in 4 years let alone 8 or 12 years.
2.Energy could end up being a really big issue in this country in 4 years. This is one of Sarah's biggest strengths. She even gave a Energy Policy speech in the campaign
3.Obama would have to run on his record in 4 years.

Sarah has agreed with us on this issue by saying that if the door is open in 4 years she will barge right thru it.

M. Minnesota said...

Since the Republican Party got shellacked in 06' and they got shellacked in 08' I think they need to have two strong conservatives on the ticket next time. If they try to think about 2016 instead, they will not be seen as a party that leads. No one wants a passive party. The people that they are trying to wake up will not be stirred.

12thMan said...

Well the "hot iron" theory can't be overstated here. Ronnie's a great example of that, Fred Thompson's an example of the opposite. His campaign never had any steam, which is too bad, since he was my original choice.

But, you're right, Barry can't run on hope and change again three years from now. Nor must we fall into the "novelty" trap. We need to watch him (as I suggested with a potential McCain presidency nearly three months ago) from day one, especially with Reid and Pelosi in charge.

Every day from now to the defeat of Obama in 2012 I will leave the readers a quote that will demonstrate my commitment and resolve never to waver on exposing Obama for who he is and the radical agenda he wants to impose on America.

Although my comparisons of Obama to Hitler, Stalin, and Mao may be overdrawn (because of the existence of the US Constitution and not because of the benevolence of the Messiah)the reality of Obama and his merry men and women desiring to suppress American freedom and install a socialist government to 'transform' America is not the fantasy of a right-wing lunatic fringe, but a reality that will take shape and made manifest if Obama has his way in the future and we sit idly by and refuse to combat it.

So with that in mind here is my first quote:

"It is what it is." Bill Belichick

Rather than ingest what are openly acknowledged

as deadly toxins in birth control
(thus risking their own lives),
women who never want to give birth to children can choose sterilization----which is the moral way to avoid risking
(....no birth control method except abstinence is 100% sure to avoid pregnancies....)
the creation of an innocent, unwanted child, and then murdering (killing an innocent)
it through abortion.
