VP Madness: Palin in FINAL FOUR!!!!!

WOW! Gov. Palin has made the "Final Four" in CQ Politics' "VP Madness!". She beat out Bobby Jindal by a margin of 54%-45%, and now faces Former White House Budget Director Rob Portman for a spot in the final matchup.

Let's give Gov. Palin all the help we can; she has the lead over Portman right now, but it has to hold until Monday. Keep up the good work

Oh..and in case you wanted to know, Palin and Portman are joined in the Final Four by Mike Huckabee and Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty.

"Wow!" is correct. Apparently CQ politics is receiving as many as 10,000 votes per round. Palin clearly is appealing to Conservatives and moderates alike.

Sorry, more than 14,000 votes cast.

Considering how Huckabee just shot himself in the foot (almost literally) I think Palin is looking better than ever!

Do you realize how far she has come?

I just noticed that they say they’ve handicapped the races. I wonder how the editors did that.

I agree that Huckabee's gaffe is one of many liabilities, McCain needs someone without baggage. If Sarah Palin is chosen, a lot of the women voters supporting Hillary would support McCain-Palin over Obama-anyone.

Sarah Palin is inspiring, principled and focused which were three traits of Reagan that made him successful. Gov. Palin takes a free market approach, appreciates the freedom we have and the special place that is America. But Gov Palin also recognizes the tough job that Moms have and that women have and that focusing Republican policies and approaches to deal with those concerns in a free market with choices is the way to achieve results. Gov. Palin can also educate Senator McCain on energy which is a policy area that can improve a lot for him. Gov Palin's nomination is essential for a Senator McCain win.

1. Sarah Palin just favoraby mentioned in NY Times Week in Review on Women POTUS:

2. Speaking of Huckabee, he's the ONE choice likely to TURN OFF women voters otherwise supporting Hillary; whereas Palin is the ONE choice likely to EXCITE women voters otherwise supporting Hillary. I'm going to have to assume Team McCain will be watching this. If not, THEY SHOULD!!! McCain/Palin = victory in '08
