I look forward to expanding this dialogue, and I hope the you will continue to stop by and participate in this discussion.

Thoughtful comments from all Republicans are encouraged, but please remember to keep it civil.

Lastly, please take the time to familiarize yourself with Governor Palin and thoughtfully consider her as a potential Vice-Presidential nominee - I think that you will be impressed.

Thoughtful comments from all Republicans are considered? If you are only willing to accept commentary from those who identify with the Republican ideology, how can anyone take this site seriously? This nation's future leadership must represent a diverse public, and political hopefuls must understand the concerns of more than just the GOP.

Palin said she's not interested in running for _any_ other office.

This blog is simply the spewings of an attention whore.

Spend some time around Alaskans. You'll realize that we really don't care what other people think about what goes on in our state.

One can hardly blame Elephantman for believing that Democrats would have little interest in a campaign to draft a candidate for the Republican primaries. As a Republican, I have little to say about the race between Clinton and Obama.

To kwoods' comment: just because Palin has said she won't run for another office doesn't mean people can't think she should. E-man is far too politically intelligent and geographically wide-ranging in his writings (have you seen his other blog?) for it to be sensible to say he's just looking for attention, which he would get far more of by dumbing down his posts. And as for Alaskans not caring about what other people think of them, that's great, but when you can't even stand it for someone to like you, that's sending out a very strange message.

As for the "not running for national office" question - it is rather obvious that she meant the U.S. Senate (people were speculating at the timm that she would seek Ted Stevens' seat in '08 if he retired). The fact that she is not seeking a Senate seat does not neccesarily imply that she would not accept a Vice-Presidential nomination. To be honest, when she made that comment, I do not think that she even entertained the idea that some people (and no, I'm not the only one) might think that she would make a good VP nominee in 2008.
