New Logo!

The logo above was designed by Ethan Demme of "My McCain Blog", who recently endorsed our movement. I think it’s brilliant, and I have secured his permission to use it as an official emblem for our cause. Please post this to your blog’s sidebar, your MySpace or Facebook profile, and anywhere else you can. If this picture starts popping up all over the net, Let’s make sure that this thing goes viral.

Thanks again to Ethan Demme for his design work, and I'm glad to welcome him to the Draft Palin Family.

Out with the Old and In with the New. America is so ready for change and if this is the year for a woman to help lead our nation, Clinton is Old and Palin is New!!

Sarah Palin would be an great choice for VP! As a no-nonsense, anti-corruption, pro-US Governor, she would make a great asset.

If you bother to do your homework you'll find that Gov. Palin would be absolutely what our country needs right now. I personally believe that with her on the Presidential ticket Senator McCain will win this race. She has exactly was this country needs most right now. Strong leadership based on sound conservative principals and on the belief that she is held to a higher standard. Strong moral convictions, strong ethical beliefs and believing that America comes first.

McCAIN-PALIN 2008 - OUR BEST CHANCE TO WIN , she would attract youth vote as well as 3 million Hillary voters

Why the Alaska state flag in the logo? No offense to the citizens of that great state, and Palin is my #1 VP choice, but to those of us in the lower 48, the reminder of where she's from is not going to help our cause.

Man I have been blogging non stop to try and get the word out about Palin. Hope it helps the caused, I am 21 and I am so energized to get his Mccain Palin campaign moving. I will be doing anything and everything on campus when school starts, just hope Mccain chooses Palin.

On a whole list of bad decisions and poor instincts, Obama has made his first important decision and it is a major blunder. McCain should do some triangulation of his own by first naming Palin as his VP.This will give the disenchanted Clinton voters some place to vent their anger. If Biden starts to bully Palin, Obama will get a taste of his own medicine.

I'll have to admit. This is the most exciting announcement I remember this decade. What a choice. What a candidate. It's almost overwhelming to think that when B.O. has nightmares, that's the face he's going to see!

Now, let's all work hard and make sure this happens for our country's sake.

Wow What a FRESH, NEW and POWERFUL choice. I bet the Obama folks were FREAKED out when they got the official word.

Looking ahead can you imagine the debate between Bidden and Palin....
Blowhard....I mean Mr. EverythingthatiswrongwithpoliticsBidden says.."Well you don;t have any experience!" and Sarah responds..."With all due respect Mr. 5+ time Senator, I have more Executive experience than YOU and OBAMA COMBINED"
Beautiful!!!

Hey, I am a soccer mom, was PTA President oh and secretary...put my name in the hat for VP.

Also, she has a journalism degree--Michelle OBama and Joe Biden's wife, have Phd in law and Phd in Education; Sen. Obama has a law degree and has served as the President of the Harvard Law Review; etc...Oh I guess Ms. Palin visiting Alaskas National Guard qualifies her foreign policy experience; or maybe as it was broadcast today, living in Alaska close to Russia might also be a qualification!

Coming from an Assemblies of God background myself, I can tell you that they are the most arrogant conservative, judgmental people you will ever meet in your life. Their interpretation of the bible is based on "their interpretation" of the bible, and they consider religions like Catholics, Baptist, etc, especially Catholics as an cult. Sit in on services a few months, you will begin to see the pattern.

Oh yeah, she is John McCain have met twice, casually. John McCain is grasping for straws and is very desperate.

I think Gov. Palin should stay at home, take care of her children.

And by the way, every US citizen puts Country first! I think Paris Hilton is right about the old white hair man.

Oh yes on another note, First Man Palin, has no education....go Michelle! Maybe they could debate...wouldn't that be interesting

So many of you people are negligent! Do your homework and find out about Palin before you fire up your keyboard with lame comments about a great woman. One of the comments says for her to go home and take care of her children, how close minded some of you people are and I can't believe you are allowed to vote. Why doesn't Obama go home and take care of his kids if that is what you are getting at. Being a life long Alaskan myself and seeing the change Palin said she would make plus more should be enough for all of you people to realize she can be a great mother, wife, and VP all at the same time. She is not only the BEST choice but the ONLY one at that!!! GO PALIN!!!

Sarah Palin is what we in the disability community call a "Special Needs Mom." If you want a challenge, just challenge a Special Needs Mom. They WILL take on the establishment to ensure services and supports for their child. I predict that Sarah Baracuda will leave J.B. with wounds that will not heal from the debates! My demo friends (yes, I have many) are already crossing over...not because Sarah is female but because she will identify with the needs of families that have great challenges and inadequate support systems from government programs; which families are entitled to receive.

Aside from the fact that Palin has more experience than Obama and forgetting the fact that she likes a good fight... has anyone considered the remifications of what would happen is McCain wins? I mean there are some serious implications here... If John McCain wins, and I know he will, but he is no spring chicken. I mean he could croak during his eight years in office and then what happens? I'll tell you what happens.... History happens...The United States of American finally gets a really hot president.

Great blog. I had hoped Sarah would be selected when I first heard her name brought up a couple of months ago, but lost hope when she disappeared from the media's speculation.

Has anyone yet made the correlation to one of our greatest Presidents, Theodore Roosevelt. He was Governor of New York for only one year before being Wilson's VP. He was also a hunter who was a conversationalist and carried that "big stick."

As liberal pundits debate whether Mrs. Palin is worthy of being in this place as this time I considered from where Margaret thatcher arose and just how remarkable were her circumstances in her first years. I think Mrs Palin and Thatcher compare quite well to this point in their chronologies. The comparison is certainly better that that of Mr Gore as he attempted to adopt Abe Lincoln's persona for Obama...

From Wikipedia. Pardon the length of the post.
Early life and education
Margaret Hilda Roberts (later Thatcher) was born on the 13 October 1925[2] to Alfred Roberts, originally from Northamptonshire, and Beatrice Stephenson Roberts from Lincolnshire. Thatcher spent her childhood in the town of Grantham in Lincolnshire, where her father owned two grocery shops.[3] She and her older sister Muriel (1921–2004) were raised in the flat above the larger of the two located near the railway line.[4] Her father was active in local politics and religion, serving as an Alderman and Methodist lay preacher. He came from a Liberal family but stood—as was then customary in local government—as an Independent. He lost his post as Alderman in 1952 after the Labour Party won its first majority on Grantham Council in 1950.[5]

Thatcher was brought up a devout Methodist and has remained a Christian throughout her life.[6] After attending Huntingtower Road Primary School, she received a scholarship and attended Kesteven and Grantham Girls' School.[7] Her school reports show hard work and commitment, but not brilliance. Outside the classroom she played hockey and also enjoyed swimming and walking.[8] Finishing school during the Second World War, she subsequently applied for a scholarship to attend Somerville College, Oxford and was only successful when the winning candidate dropped out.[9] She went to Oxford in 1943 [10] and studied Natural Sciences and specialised in Chemistry. [3] She became President of the Oxford University Conservative Association in 1946, the third woman to hold the post. Thatcher graduated with a BA from Oxford in 1946 with Second Class Honours in Final Honours School. She subsequently studied crystallography and received a postgraduate B.Sc. degree in 1947. Her BA status was converted to MA by Oxford in 1950.[3]

Following graduation, Margaret Roberts moved to Colchester and worked as a research chemist for BX Plastics.[11] During this time she joined the local Conservative Association and attended the party conference at Llandudno in 1948, as a representative of the University Graduate Conservative Association.[12] She was also a member of the Association of Scientific Workers. In January 1949, a friend from Oxford, who was working for the Dartford Conservative Association, told her that they were looking for candidates.[12] After a brief period, she was selected as the Conservative candidate, and she subsequently moved to Dartford to stand for election as a Member of Parliament. To support herself during this period, she went to work for J. Lyons and Co., where she helped develop methods for preserving ice cream and was paid £500 per year.[12]

I dont agree with everything they push, yet its not just my voice! The brain wash thing, here are some examples. Since before World War 1 The Change thing was a staple in every voting season. We need to send more funding to our schools, Again Every voting season. Raise your taxes, cut taxes, every voting season. Heres a good one, Some politition ,not sure which one. (One breath away from the Presidency) ! refurring to Sarah Polin. Then I started hearing it all over the networks refuring to her. Are you kidding me. C'mon America think for yourselves. Facts She did more in the time she was governor that I already know of then Either Hillory Or Obama have done. Seriouslly, Can anyone tell me what the other canidits did? I have know Idea what Clinton did for New York Or Obama did For Ill.Or Biden other then a good argument. The Dems just care about one thing ( THE White House ) The facts, Hillory ran for senate for one thing to get back to the White House. And Chicago politics were currupt since the Capone days, Check it out for yourselves, Its a well known fact. The other big brain wash. Instead of doing there jobs, the Dems were bashing Bush for the last four years. And when you ask the guy or gal next to you about Bush They will answer the with the same words coming strait from Dems mouth. The facts. When you bash someone with the same words for years all, I mean all start beleiving its fact. The fact is he kept the the fight from our shores. Remember The Dems ran out on our boys In Viat Nam. Remember Johnson Said I will not seek or accept another term !!!! While thousands lie dead. A democrat. So many died in vain. You cannot play politics in war. Young men Die. War is terrible, unsivalized. McCain knows this and he also knows not to play politics with it. I think Sarah Palin is the next great politition. And as both parties need to learn, give credit where credit is due, admit when you are wrong and stop acting like ten year olds when it comes to your parties.

I've been bitchin' for it seems a year on how bad our choices look this year. I've been nothing but a died-in-wool pessimist and McCain hater. It seems like overnight the clouds have parted and I'm full of hope. Yes, that was hyperbolic, but not too. I got a smile on my face. I never heard of Palin before last Friday and I already love her! And you know what? My estimation of McCain as a decision-maker just rose quite a bit too! Welcome Sarah! Thanks John!

Reagan's Dust Bin said...

Much is being said about Sarah's "inexperience" in the administration of government. Though there may be a modicum of truth in those words, I think an apta analogy can be drawn between Sarah on this and Theodore Roosevelt. Look it up.

In any case, I'm glad she's not as inexperienced in the administration of government as is Barak Obama, because then she truly would not be qualified to run for Vice President of the United States. ;-)

Northwoods of PA said...

The left-wing media keeps saying that Gov. Palin takes away McCain's ability to talk about experience, but I believe it brings Obama's inexperience up to the fore front. If you think she is inexperienced then what of a Senator who claims he has gained his experience from running a campaign for two years. What a joke. How does running a campaign for President qualify you to run for President? They say she has no foreign experience but no governor ever has and Reagan seemed to do pretty well.

Northwoods of PA said...

Someone asked why the Alaskan flag symbol (the big dipper) was put on the McCain logo. For those not associated with the outdoors and backwoods, the big dipper points to the North Star. The North Star is the only star that is firm and steadfast, providing safe and reliable navigation for travelers. If lost in the woods the North Star can mean the difference between life and death, its that important! The Big Dipper is located under John McCain and the last two stars in the cup or "dipper" point to John McCain the same way the Big Dipper points to the North Star. So in a very simple logo you have the Big Dipper representing Gov.Palin pointing to the most experienced candidate running for president, emphasizing his leadership. The small little logo says a mouth full!

When I first heard that Sarah was the pick,I blogged my opinion but now I am really mad. The press and TV reporters are totally wrong in questioning Sarah due to teh fact that her daughter is going to have a child. I had a child out of wedlock 39 years ago when it was totally wrong. I hid the fact until just before the birth believing that my parents would disown me. How wrong could I have been. My parents supported me and and became the greatest of grandparents. Had I not had them behind me, I'm not so sure where I would be today or if I would be loving the son I brought into the world. You go Sarah. Be the loving mother that your daughter and grandchild needs. Don't worry about the Demos, as we Republicans will handle them.

When I learned Sarah Palin was being attacked by media because of her daughter's pregnancy, I was, at first, sad for the family.

Then I realized -- Governor Palin is too tough for this and she'll set the media straight! And, I would expect her children to be ready for the attacks and well prepared by their mother for whatever may come.

God bless Gov. Sarah and her family. What a wonderful example for us moms of teenagers -- we aren't always blessed with perfect outcomes - we teach the best we can, but teens are young adults - people with free will - and they will make choices that we can't always control. That does not mean they were raised without proper guidance and strong morals - it doesn't mean that religious training is ineffective.

So, thank you Gov. Sarah for putting your family first - would some others have done away with an inconvenient pregnancy? Certainly it wasn't the best timing, but thank you for raising a family who values life, and thank you for holding your heads high and setting an example for moms - we do our best but when things don't work perfectly as planned, we pull together and put family first.

Gov. Palin is an inspiration to me and I will pray for her and her beautiful family.

We live in the southwest suburbs of Chicago and are NOT Obama fans. Someone should ask him why Illinois ranks 51st in programming for people with disabilities. That's right--dead last behind all 50 states and Washington DC. Sarah Palin would be a great VP and it would be nice to have an advocate for people with disabilities in Washington! She is a strong woman with great values and she is not afraid to stand up and fight for what she believes. It would be a refreshing change in Washington. Go Sarah!

Ways I am NOT like Sarah Palin: I have made sacrifices in my career to be with my one child. I have had a passport for about twenty years. The GOP is not “hooking me up” with a bunch of foreign leaders so I can say I’ve met some. I believe in the separation of church and state. I do not believe that women should submit to their husbands. I believe in a woman’s right to choose. I chose to have my son. Maybe if Sarah Palin had CHOSEN to have those children, had made the CHOICE to be a mother, she’d be a better one!
To sum up: I am a fifty-something white woman who supported Hillary Clinton. I live in a red state, and I sincerely hope that Obama is our next president. John McCain and Sarah Palin really scare me.

I think America needs a pittbull type of righteous woman/mother leader. I like the Teddy Roosevelt coincidence...or could it be destiny...America needs a fresh, new blood; as far as I can "see", the new wine skin is getting ready (spiritually thinking, this is why the financial house cleaning is going on). America, wake up, humble yourself, pray, repent, turn from your wicked ways; THEN, and only then, God will have mercy and grace, hear our cry and heal our land.
Is this what we really want? If yes, then let's start our work NOW. No more procrastination and slumbering.
May God bless America again.

lipstick_pitbull said...

I totally agree and there happens to be a large misconception regarding the breed of a pit bull in fact it's exactly what America needs right now. This is what you can expect from Alaska's Lipsticked Pit Bull: One of the most amazing traits about this breed is their ability to adapt to any situation. Their attitude, courage, and never say die approach to life make them exceptional companions that exude high levels of energy. Human aggression, severe shyness and instability are traits that you will not find in this breed. On the contrary, they are wonderfully family oriented, people loving and extremely loyal. Even with strangers they have never met, they will engage in fun without caution. In short, they love all people. A proper temperament will show strong nerves in unfamiliar situations and will quickly look to investigate anything that appears shady in nature. Pit bulls are eager to please people, they love just about everyone, and combined with their high energy are perfect for families. In the end they will excel at any obstacle or situation they are faced with and burst at the seams with life everyday with their eyes wide open. Is there any doubt?
